That is cool. Why did they use a GT not a GT500 though.

Ditto. Looks really cool though. The interior looks awesome with the exterior striping. I'd rock that for sure.

The idea is brilliant...........but the execution fails, for me at least. It's all in the proportions. It looks as though it needs another 12" added to the wheelbase.

'69 GT500 always looked to me like Ford had a truckload of spare NACA ducts and had to figure out SOMEthing to do with them...

A few of years ago the same was done on late mode Corvette modified as a 1953. It looked excellent.

It is not my cup of tea. I am a firm believer the good old days are now.

Made me think of the "old style" Vette bodies morphed to fit on new Vette chassis, too. They do it with the '53 and with mid-sixties cars.

And personally, I put them in the same category as this "old Shelby". Novel concept, but the proportions aren't right.... and the result is just goofy looking.

Sorry, I think it's bizzare. It's a cross between a 69 Shelby and a 69 Mach 1, on a new mustang. If your going through the trouble, why not do all Shelby, which would be much better looking. We've come a really long way from what a Shelby was if they can serialize this thing as a Shelby. So they've licensed some Shelby parts, grafted them on a mustang GT in a mixed up fashion.....voila, another Shelby collector car classic. What is this cars pedigree? heritage? And yes, putting a 69 Shelby front end, known for it's overhang, on a smaller car, is out of proportion.
Ok , $75,000 for this thing. There are some real 68 and 69 Shelby GT 350's selling in this price range. These cars are a genuine piece of Americana, better looking, and won't drop in value $30,000 the day you bring it home.
I'll give you this. If you go to mustang car shows with this car, you'll be the talk of the town....but I think the comments you might hear are "cool kit car". Then you'll say...but it's a real Shelby! Give me a break.

End of rant.
