2010 GT to 2013 GT
Lots of factors went into the decision. I only bought the 94 Cobra to give me a fun nice weather DD. A buddy built it right with a sweet 347 stroker, upgraded tranny, suspension, axles, etc. It put 366 to the wheels and was a blast to drive. I knew before I bought the 94 that it would be sold when I could buy the 2014.
I sold the 66 GT for a few reasons. First, to fund the new GT. Second, my Dad's building where I store the car will be sold in the near future and I won't have room for it at home. Third, I got an offer I couldn't refuse. I bought that car right and made a great profit on it. I will miss it, since all original rust free high option San Jose built GTs are not common. But for the reasons above, I decided it was the right thing to do. Besides - I still have - and will always have - the green 66 coupe in my avatar. For a while the new GT will have to be content being the second fastest Mustang in our house.

One other reason I ordered a new GT is that I hadn't seen any cars in the color & options I wanted. It is my first new car ever, so I figured I'd get it just the way I wanted it. I'm not a fan of the renderings of the '15 and definitely don't want to be the IRS guinea pig.

Good grief, don't tell people on this forum the 5.0 you test drove wasn't the second coming of Jesus and rocked your world. Been down that road on here. Lol
The only descriptions we have of the newer S550 (2015+) is that these cars will be built for the world market in mind so that invariably means some shifts in thinking vs the last 30 years (1979 to 2014). Some people are already talking about grabbing the older 'big' mustangs before its too late.
The S550 will no doubt be recognizable as a Ford, but unfortunately I perceive a Mustang as a hulking brute. If I want a Euro-styled RWD V8 platform, I'll buy and Audi or BMW; I was on the hook for an M3 and the 2013 GTs won me over. The last of these 197s may be come highly coveted, but that doesn't matter to me; the 13/14 MY scratches the muscle car itch for me. The 15 may win me over, but it won't send me to my credit union looking for another car note.
Those jumping onto the 15 MY wagon should consider that new platforms take a couple revisions to work out bugs. The 14 gave me peace of mind, as the vast majority of TSBs had already been accounted for by the time my order hit Ford.
