The problem i have it seems like the Mustang will be losing its raw muscle car feel with this interior. I do not want to feel like im sitting in a Ford Flex or any other luxury car/suv? It looks like the same interior as the Flex? Am i right? Is the Mustang now evolving from muscle car to luxury sports car?
Anyone else feel this way?
Anyone else feel this way?
I'd have to disagree... There's alot to be said for a muscle car with "muscle" under the hood and on the dash! Where do I sign?!?!?

Too bad on the Fusion couple likely not coming to reality. I know GM has already postponed the Caddy CTS coupe. I think I'm leaning towards an Accord Coupe for my next daily driver ( I really need AWD, FWD car for the winter months, yet still desire to have a sporty coupe)

I don't need AWD but I prefer it. I live in Massachusetts and I have driven several Mustangs in the snow and it is not fun. Before the days of $4 gas I would just buy a good old American SUV but now I'd rather downsize and have an all weather car.
The new Accord coupe offers a decent blend of style, power, all weather capability and features that the Mustang and Fusion don't currently offer. Though the new Focus coupe is an option, I'm just not a fan of it (not a fan of it's looks, underpowered and too small).
My ideal daily driver would be a Fusion coupe with the styling of the upcoming 10' Sedan. Give it optional AWD, 6 speed auto, 250-300HP and decent MPGs and maybe even take some of the Mustang's styling cues to set it apart from the sedan (maybe a similar roof line).
Maybe it's just me but I think Ford is missing out on a big image car by not offering a mid-size FWD coupe. I for one think that the new Accord and Altima are really cool cars. I think it can co-exsist with the Mustang the way that Nissan has with the Altima Coupe and 350Z, also think about the Eclipse and EVO.

Initially, that hood bulge reminded me of the second-gen Nissan Quest. But the more I see it, the more I like it. Makes the Malibu look even MORE like @ss.

S197 Stangs are actually quite good in the snow, my 05 V6 coupe was anyway-no ABS or trac control to boot!-My daily commute was from Cleveland's far Southwest side over to the Southeast side snow belt-and the only time I ever got stuck was pulling into my own driveway Christmas Eve 2004. (Plows had not done my street yet and snow was up over the rocker panels.) These cars handle nothing like a Fox Chassis in the snow...

I may actually consider an 05'GT as a daily driver since I have found a boatload of low mile well optioned GTs on the market, would be cheaper than the Accord Coupe I have been eying....

The same all over again?
DC08GT: IMHO. Believe that Ford is doing the same thing they did forty some years ago. Introduce a new raw exciting pony car and then every year add a little more sugar and spice, to keep the buyers coming in to the show room. This is wonderful for the sales. But eventualy the breed really suffers with an overload of bloat and gimmicky toys. The 2010 will be yet another wonderful success for Ford I'm sure. But we shall keep our S-197 GT/CS. As for us for now it is more of a purer first cut version of this newer generation of the Mustangs. Here comes the flames!! CalStang

Actually It's The New Australian Falcon. The Mondeo Pictured Below It Is European. Ford Claims That Those Cars, Along With The European Focus (Which Kills Ours In Looks And Performance BTW) Are Too Expensive to Produce For Our Market, Which I Don't Understand. The More You Make Or Build The Lower The Cost of Manufacture. That's Why Manufacturers Try To Spread Development Costs Across Several Different Models. That's Also Why The Fusion Shares It's Chassis (Or Did At Least) With The Mazda 6, Which Is ENTIRELY NEW This Year, That's One Reason I'm VERY LET DOWN With The New Fusion. I Was Expecting A LOT MORE Not Just A Minor Refresh.
Honestly FORD, I'm Over The Whole 3 Big Chrome Bar Grill Theme. That Works Fine On A Truck, But Trying To Spread It Across The Entire Lineup Sucks. It's As Bad As When Chevy Was Slapping A Big Chrome Bar Across The Front Of Every Thing They Sold A Few Years Ago. I Miss The OLD FORD, That Was Bold Daring And A Design Leader. The FORD That Gave Us The Much Loved, Yet Controversial Aero Thunderbirds of the 80's and 90's, And The MAJORLY Successful Original Taurus. Obviously America LOVED THOSE CARS, Along With The Focus, The Original Was A BIG SUCCESS With A Huge Following And Fan Base, It Was Almost Identical To The Euro Version, But Now We Have This UGLY Mishmashed Design. In My Opinion THE ONLY FORD I Like Anymore Is The Mustang.

Dave, I've Heard Ford Is Bringing The Fiesta Here But I Have Not Heard They Are Bringing The Focus, and Even If They Do They Are Still Going To BASTARDIZE Those European Versions With Their 3 Chrome Bar Grill Theme, I've Read The Articles About The Fiesta, Which Isn't Going To Be Called Fiesta In The US BTW, They Haven't Come Up With A Name Yet. They're Afraid People Will Relate It To The Original Fiesta of the Late 70's . As For the 2010 Fusion, It Might Be A Nice Car But Have You Looked At The New Mazda 6?Or The European Mondeo Even? Those Are Much Nicer Cars In My Opinion.
