Why does Ford give cars like the Fusion and SVT Focus a 6 speed before the Mustang GT???
I am also a little shocked that the old 3.0 V6 will still be around in the 10' Fusion.
Does this mean that the base model 10' Mustang will continue with the 4.0 tractor motor?

We knew the 2010 would carryover the 4.0L long ago. 2011 changes to a different mill however.
you know how the accord has 2 four cylinders and a v6? think of this as ford's 3 engine options/trim levels
The other cars are getting their juice now because they don't have the all-new powertrain coming 2011.
Haven't heard anything recently either, I think the R&D money is being spent elsewhere.

Report: GM delays development spending
Cash-poor General Motors is postponing nearly all spending on product
development in 2009 and 2010, reports Automotive News. GM also is cutting
spending on engineering, design and research and development. "The 2009
stuff that's too late to cancel is coming out, then everything else gets
pushed out anywhere between three months and up to a year," said one of the
automotive trade publication's sources. "It's not just capital budget; it's
... everything that would cause money to flow out in 2009."
Lets Hope FORD Fares Better!

Finally a select shift auto in these cars. These cars have the same tranny's that the Mazda6 had and they had the select shift feature. Ford really seems interested in building good cars again...Thank You...
I would love to see a 3.5V6 in these cars along with premium fuel tune with 275+hp in these cars.

If I'm getting a Mustang, I want a nav system like the one the Fusion's getting. It's perfect- DVD video and audio, a on-board hard disk for music and map storage,Sirius Travel Link, Sync- it has everything I need. It's better than using the OnStar turn-by-turn directions on the Camaro, since it won't have nav at launch...
Give the Fusion's nav system to the Mustang, Ford, and I'll be happy.

The problem i have it seems like the Mustang will be losing its raw muscle car feel with this interior. I do not want to feel like im sitting in a Ford Flex or any other luxury car/suv? It looks like the same interior as the Flex? Am i right? Is the Mustang now evolving from muscle car to luxury sports car?
Anyone else feel this way?
