2010 Black Chrome Grille Pony Emblem on 2011?

Has anyone swapped the 2010 Black Chrome Pony for the Chrome 2011 pony? Will they directly swap?

They're the same except for color. Swap away!

Yep, all you have to do is pull the cover under the hood, and remove the four pressure washers off the back of the emblem and it swaps right in. Here's mine:

You can get it here: $30. http://www.partscheap.com/Mustang-20...z-8a224-ba.htm

It's part number: AR3Z-8A224-BA

Also if you search there's a few threads out there on it.

What is the best/easiest way to remove the pressure washers? Can it be done with the grille on the car? Thanks!

I had a little trouble prying off the pressure washers, so I ended up cutting the posts on the back of the pony emblem and the washers popped right off. I figured I wouldn't be putting the chrome pony back on so not a big deal. I ordered the pony from Partscheap.com and it didn't come with new pressure washers but I was able to salvage a couple and they were extremely difficult to get back on. I used a new set of friction washers I bought from lowes instead and they were a little easier to get on but very secure. I did this with the grille still on, just remove the 8 push plugs on the radiator cowl and you have easy access to the back of the grille. Here is a shot of the final result.
