At any rate, when compared to that other unnamed forum dedicated to a certain other type of Mustang fans, I totally agree with you and don't ever want to see this forum turn into a bunch of snobs who have their noses in the air.

I'd been lurking occasional over there since I joined TMS in 2014...even became a member but never posted until recently when I became interested in the 2018 refresh. There's some vicious uppity-ness going on. God forbid you bash a pre-18 S550. And don't even dare discuss a vintage Mustang or an S197. And you'd think judging by the negativity that the 2018 Mustang was designed by Homer Simpson.
There's a polling thread going on now about whether or not a GT350 should even be referred to as a Shelby. Egads.

I don't think her posts are all that bad. She's got a right to be here. I get way more annoyed at folks who join for the sole purpose of selling a car or parts, ask advice and become one post wonders, or who have no command of spelling, grammar, or punctuation (foreign members excepted). There are many subjects of which I have no interest, or lack deep technical understanding of the topic. I just bypass those that don't interest me.
This place is much looser in feeling and attitude than another unnamed 'group-think forum' dedicated to a specific generation of Mustangs. Those folks really have their noses in the air. No fun allowed over there. I hope TMS doesn't start veering in that direction.
Let her be. She does come up with a gem once in a while. She's not hurting anyone.
True Tom. At times some just misunderstand her sense of humor. I like the young lady as she does keep me on my toes.
Rocky my old friend. Remember when we were that young. Party time brother.

Tom, I know exactly the forum your referring to and also did some lurking.. Needless to say, I'm glad that I never became a member as those people are so freaking biased and closed minded towards anything other than the current S550 platform, as I also noticed quite often all the thread bashing taking place towards vintage Mustangs and especially the S197.. Once I saw how vicious those people are, I wanted no part of being in that type of environment whatsoever.. As here on TMS and other Mustang forums such as the S197 forums, we can share our opinions about every generation Mustang from past to present with an open mind without fear of being condemned in such a vicious and negative manner.. If anything I've posted in these threads so many times in the past praising Ford for coming out with the current S550 despite the fact I still prefer the classic/retro styling of the S197.. However I also realize that if Ford doesn't evolve the Mustang to appeal towards the younger generation of potential car buyers, the Mustang will eventually no longer exist if Ford isn't selling enough cars to make a profit in order to continue production.. That being said, Ford is obviously doing something right, as the S550 took the number 1 sales spot previously held by the 5th and current 6th generation Camaro and is also number 1 in global sales for best sporty car in it's class.. That in itself just puts a very huge smile on my face
A bunch of her posts make me shake my head and wonder is she's drunk-posting, but she's a young girl in the middle of nowhere, I just assume she's bored beyond belief so I let things go. There's many other things in life to worry about
Wow hey now Gabe, I do believe we are a bit off to the left. At least according to this :
However it does feel like the middle of nowhere when 9 out of 10 items you try to purchase on amazon "don't ship to your location"... and the only reason you are on Amazon in the first place is because you couldn't find the item in any of your local stores...
