I really love the back window myself and I am thinking about the possability of removing the hood spears and replacing them with just black lettering saying California Special. I am going to let it ride for a bit before I make that decision. It looks so much better in real view than a picture. I am also reluctant to drop my car off anymore since they took it for a joyride and drove it like they stole it.
I think at the minimum you should remove the hood spears AND the gtcs side stripe, and put real rocker stripes on it (you can put "GT/CS" in the rocker stripe if you really want the "GT/CS").
I would also have gone with either a Mach-1 style stripe (kinda like the super snake), or a retro blacked out hood, top of decklid, spoiler, and taillight panel (kind like the '69 cars), and then installed a black rear window louver kit. Go completely mach-1 appearance.
But that's just me.

The window is just such a "kiddie" thing to do, IMO. That's why I'd shy from it. Cuz the kids did it -- in the 90's.
I mean your car says that it's a California Special not 1, or 2, or even 3, but FOUR times just on the back end, and twice on each side.
I love California Specials, and IMO, sometimes less is more, but that's my opinion.

You got the window decal, the Trunk Badge, Personalized plates and a Plate frame.. I'm not sure if anyone will get that its a GT/CS
Oh, if you dont want to get pulled over for your plate being in the window..

Have the plate on the car while driving. then remove it for shows, etc. and no holes drilled in the front bumper.. Its what I did wen I bought my car in VA. I told them not to drill the front plate and bought one of these. Hell, I'll sell you mine now that I dont need it.

Of all the late model Mustangs, I like the front end of your model year best; even better than my 2013 GT500. If there was a way to switch mine to that 2010 front end without having to do the front fenders & hood, I'd switch in a minute. If you like the 2013 Shelby look, maybe we can trade front clips.

It is a nice looking car. There's nothing like old Detroit steel.
When we looking for our car, we drove a 69 Mach 1 that had a complete OE resto. It looked just like it did the day it rolled off the assy line. Of all the Mustangs ever built, the 69 is my favorite & a dream of mine to own. But when we drove it, it drove like a 1969 automobile. My wife said it would be my decision which car we should buy. She liked them both but the 2013 was a much more comfortable ride.
Obviously, we ended up with the 2013. But some day, when I sell the 88GT, we may be looking at 69 Stangs again.

I really like the way your car is in your avatar picture. It still looks California Special. When you put the OOT stripes on, it looks more like a Cobra II; even though it ties in with the shaker nicely.
