You should visit Shelby while you're here. It's at the south end of the strip.

 

I might have to do that... I visited it when it was by the racetrack a few years ago, but haven't been to the new one yet!

 

The new facility is far nicer. There's also a viewing area where you can see the vehicles being worked on etc.

It's also located next to Town Square where there's shopping, restaurants, bars, arcades, movies etc

 

Nice! I am at the MGM, so it's not too far away... I am supposed to be working during the day, but might have to take an "extended lunch" over there one day...

 

I was at the original facility near Nellis AFB back in '99 or '00 and toured the factory when they were building The Shelby Series 1. The guide explained that the car was only available in silver but with any color stripe the customer wanted. Near the end of the tour on the other side of the factory I spotted a black Series 1, so I questioned the guide about his 'misinformation'. His response..."That's Carroll's car. He gets any color he wants."

It was a great tour, but sadly I missed meeting Carroll Shelby by 10 minutes.

Visiting the new facility is on my bucket list.

 

 

vinyl came in, original plan is to wrap hood, roof, and trunk. Someone recommended wrapping my new rims as well.

Thanks! i should be getting the hood in a week or two. The rim was more of a test to see what it looked like, i have 35ft of it so it wasn't gonna be that big of a deal if it was a waste.

Its also not a perfect wrap, but i've learned what will need to be done on the others. Some small patches will need to be done in some not easily seen areas. Other then that the color looks AWESOME.

Mine looks just as dirty!!

 

Mine's very dusty and the battery's dead, but after getting hooked up to a battery tender earlier today, at least the battery won't be an issue anymore in a day or 2
