Yeah, I met a photographer at the last C&C event. He contacted Velgen and they want shots of my car for the website and their Facebook page. Probably do that in the next month or so. I haven't had any pics taken other than cell phone pics lol. I'm excited to find out what kinda power you're making with the new pulley/tune!

Thank you Smurf. BMC was NOT the easiest company to deal with. The CF hood had some fog in it. The original clear coat also reacted with the gel coat and led to more fogging. Neither the painter nor BMC wanted to commit to the issue, so i said paint it DIB. Not sure i will deal with BMC again. I just don't like being ignored after a $1500 purchase. I might check out Siebon for other CF stuff, or even Trucarbon again.
In the end I am very happy with the result, as are the spectators and fellow stangers at the recent shows.

A. Save money, get fiberglass, paint it all.
B. Get the carbonfiber, and change the stripes to black and leave the hood "stripes" exposed carbon fiber.

the raw carbon fiber look seems to get mixed reviews and after a lot of research it seems like it's a fair amount of maintenance and upkeep to keep it looking good. however now that my hood has being painted it looks spectacular and under certain conditions you can see a ghost of the carbon fiber pattern. if I had to do it all over again I think I would just stick with fiberglass and paint it all.

Gotta say, after 2-3 hours in the Camaro, getting back into the Mustang is like getting into a Bentley. Amazing how far ergonomics and comfort have come in a quarter century.

Forecast called for rain all day. But it was cool and overcast and the rain hadn't started yet early this morning...figured I'd roll the dice and just give it a quick wash. Yeah, right.
Next thing I know, I got a coat of Mequiars polishing cream on it, followed by a Mequiars Carnuba hand wax treatment. 3/4 thru, rain started, finished it in the garage. The only thing I didn't do was the undercarriage.
Ended up in a 7 hour every-nook-and-cranny detailing marathon, The only thing I didn't do was the undercarriage. Rain stopped, took 'er for a spin.
