At my dealer's auto show this weekend. She was the cleanest one there and the only one without swirls and scratches in the paint. Seem like some really don't take care of the outside of there stangs.

Wash.. Clay... then get rid of all the swirls..... Then polish, then wax. Yea. 9 freaking hours. Not all with polisher. Had to tape off stripes etc. Couldn't believe it took that long either.

Didn't seem like I had too big of a swirl/micro scratch issue but they seem to take a while to get rid of.

Wife can't believe how smooth it is. Maybe I overdid it.

Had to help a few customers here and there but for the most part I was doing something.

Oh I know it can take hours to do. Before a big all mustang car show I spent several hours on my car and that was even with a swirl free car. Got an awesome picture with my mustang group. Just by chance, my mustang eneded up in the middle.

The only "overdoing" you could have done is removing too much clearcoat. 5-6 passes should be sufficient for an orange pad based correction, followed by gray. "Smoothness" is also more so a result of good claying, than polishing.

3M Color guard 20% all the way around and a 5% windshield strip. Makes a drastic difference on interior temps since its already in the 80º and 90º range here. Even with the Glass roof if I forget to pull the cover closed I can sit down right away now without worrying about a blazing hot seat.
