Anyone know who has the '13 GHIG with the hood bulge painted black? Thought it was one of CJ's builds, but maybe not. Considering going that route at some point and want to check out some pics.

What are you talking about? All 13s have some hood bulge. Color makes no difference.

Yea there honestly isn't a "hood bulge" or even a powerdome on the '13s. The '11/'12s have a slight one.

Um, yeah, there honestly is. Is it the same shape and everything as the 11/12? No, but its there. Look at the two hoods. The 13s have a higher center, whatever you want to calk it, but no power dome.

 

You have a different definition of a hood bulge then. The "bulge" on the '13s takes up more than 50% of the hood. If anything that's the normal height of the hood, and it tapers downward on the edges.

I honestly don't know what the heck you guys are talking about. Are you talking about the hood rise?

 

I lost track of the original point. Something about whether the '13 hoods have a bulge like the '11/'12s or if it's more gradual making it just part of the hood shape.

 

Hood rise/bulge/whatever. Looking for a pic of the GHIG with it painted black. Not the whole hood, just the center. Thought it was CJs but now thinking not.

 

Maybe we should have a thread started so we can ask questions like what the best word for "hood bulge" is so the question can get asked and answered without all the hyperbole.

I don't know who has it painted, not sure if I'd like that as I think the black stripes I have look real sweet. You should post in the GHIG section and ask, you'll probably get a better answer as those of us with GHIG seem to be a bit more cool than those with other colors

ok, jokes aside, I do remember seeing that at one point. It actually looked decent with that painted black. If I remember right it kept the black paint/stripe theme throughout the whole car. Looked good.
