2010-2014 Ford Mustang S-197 Gen II Lets see your latest Pics PHOTO GALLERY
I am using a Nikon d60 with 18-55 vr nikkor. Usually I tripod with remote trigger, but today didn't feel like it. Turned out good still I think.

But judging from the dof I'd say 1.8-2.0. Iso was prolly 100. Handheld.

I'm quite fond of the B&W Cadillac...

So... for xmas, I think I am asking for something camera related. I don't want to go overboard in price, but I think something under 500, the wifey will allow. LOL. I was debating between getting a new lens/es or a new body. If lenses, I was thinking between 50mm 1.4 (400 bucks) or 1.8 (200 bucks), or a 18-200 VR Nikkor lens. It's the argument of versatility over function. I am leaning towards the 50mm.... OR I can get a new body, like a D3100 (but no infrared sensor for my remote trigger)... What say you?
When I was a young buck in photography, I was tempted to upgrade my camera body monthly as new ones came out. All new bodies have are a feature here a new button there and just styling changes. They woo you with higher Iso and megapixel count. To be honest that's all marketing bs. I seldom shoot full rez. A raw image at full typically is 30-40 megabytes for me. And I rarely shoot over 1600 ISO unless I intentionally want grain. I invested in really good lenses. Aside from skill, good glass (and filters) will make the best impact on your art. For 2 years I used a t1i and 18-55mm. Got to get really good with that gear and finally got a 50mm 1.8 which was great but also plastic and flimsy. I think the 1.4 for both canon and Nikon is one of the best bang for buck lenses. My 50mm is in my top 3 most used next to my 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 (which has AMAZING contrast and saturation). The primes will let you achieve those shallow DOFs and creamy blur which will expand your photos to another realm that kit lenses just can't achieve.
I have almost every lens and body lying around work, Nikkor, Canon, Sony, fujinon and zeiss so I get to play with some nice goodies like 100k canon lenses hehe... The only time I suggest upgrading the body is when you are really going pro or looking for a full frame.
I'd get the 50 1.4 and a B+W UV. A B+W cp too if u can afford it.

I second what Sky Hye says. The true art is in the eye / skill of the photographer and the lens. Think of it this way, even if you had the most advanced, expensive camera body, the pictures will suffer it taken through a crap lens.
whatever you do, don't start printing your pictures because you'll want larger and larger prints 4ft x 6ft, then you'll want higher megapixel because it'll be sharper and once you go there you'll sell your car and get digital backs and printers that noone has a right to have in their home
i think the 50mm 1.4 is an awesome lens too but i lost mine. is there a thread for photography on here?
ok back to cars.. all these pics are awesome. i wanted sterling grey but man i see all these other colors and they are all equally lust inducing!

My hoopty, currently sitting on jackstands waiting for the new cat-back. Just got done installing Stainless Works headers, Koni Yellows with Hotchkis springs and Steeda Strut mounts, whiteline rear sway bar, Relo brackets and adj. LCA's, putting in the Magnaflow Stainless "street" catback since I'm Catless when it finally gets here. Took out my Roush/ KW coilovers to try something different.
