Fact: Grabber Blue was originally Grabber Blue Metallic. Problem was that it was so **** fast that the metal flakes kept being pulled right off the car from the extreme acceleration of the 5.0 GT models that were painted Grabber Blue.

So to combat this, Ford delayed the release of the 5.0 by one model year to try to give engineers time to find a solution. Unfortunately, they couldn't. So we soldier on without the metallic, but we find we don't need it, having the fastest color is good enough.

Great to hear Grabber Blue is, by far, the fastest color

Danielle - you are confused, and I understand why.

Gotta Have it Green Metallic Tri-Coat is by FAR the fastest color. Ford was able to keep the metallic paint, it just moved over to Green instead

Thanks man - yeah, my uncle-in-law has a medallion-winning '71 Mach I, '95 GT convertible, he built the '67 fastback for his son, is almost done with a '67 coupe for his daughter and has a wrecked Terminator to swap the drivetrain into a Factory Five Cobra, and he and his buddy own a junkyard with something like 30 Mustangs of all years on site. I married into the right family!
