2010 & 2011 Back-Up bulbs ...
2010 spec is a # 921 ... 264 Lumens / 1.4 Amps
2011 spec is a # 912 ... 151 Lumens / 1.0 Amps
I bought 4 LED bulbs from SuperBrightLeds.com:
# 921-NW12 ... 12 LEDS @ 18 Lumens each (216 total) and draws only 0.51 Amps.
These bulbs should theroretically throw more light than the stock 912's, but they don't (see pic ... stock 912 bulbs on RIGHT).
Wondering if I'd be best off swapping in the 2010 spec bulbs and calling it a day.
Already wasted $24.00 on these 4 LED bulbs, so I don't want to keep trying different ones untill I find some that actually throw more light out of these housings. They would probably work well on 2005-09 with the clear B-U lenz, but on the 10-11 style housing ... NOPE !!
Anyone else find reasonably priced and functional LED bulbs for 2010-11 B-U lamps ??
Doug

I don't think you'll find anything that works better. Those small wedge LEDs just dont output enough light. Stick to stock, just my 2 cents. Also go look closely at the LED reverse lights. More than likely they stay slightly lit when you aren't in reverse.

Hmm, I think the reason that they don't seem like they're throwing out more light is because the light output isn't as scattered as it is with the stock housing. If you are able to get like a 360 degree bulb that might better the output? Not sure.
The best choice in that case would be the WLED-XHP5. These are 40 lumen each so 200 lumen in a 360 degree bulb pattern, as opposed to the 214 lumen in 75 degree pattern of the ones you have (which I actually bought and use these too, and yes, the light output could be higher, but I've managed pretty well.)
The thing tho is if it would clear the hole it needs to fit into.
they have the drawings on them which give all their dimensions, so we'd have to compare it to the 921-ww12 bulb and see if they match.
You can also return the bulbs to Superbright for no charge. So I think I'll test them out sometime this August once I get my car back... and if it's not better I'll return them.
