Yep, something stupid... Took it all back apart and one of the pins on the D-pad side was bent. Took the switch apart and straightened it out, started working immediately. Gotta love the little things.

Thanks for the help!

Awesome!

Post pics. I can't wait until I'm back from Florida to put mine on.

The pin was laid over far enough that I couldn't see it in the wheel. Once I took it all back apart I could see it bent over. Thankfully the back of the switch comes apart and I was able to get access to the pin and use some small needle nose to straighten it back out and thank God it didn't snap. lol

It's dark now, but I'll post some pics tomorrow. It really does look & feel great though!

Love it! I'm glad to see that you can use the original airbag cover and all of you buttons. Not that I thought you couldn't. But it's nice to SEE it.

I was worried that when Lexi said swapping harnesses, the button switched sides (now to think about it, they wouldn't fit like that).

Seeing it the way I would do it, track apps buttons switched and mustang airbag cover. I definitely want to do this mod. Does anyone have pics of what exactly needs to be swapped on the harness?

Also how does the alcantara hold up? Seems like it would get more grimy than regular leather. How do you clean it?

Don't drive it with filthy hands. Trust me you will love it over base and premium wheel. Feels and looks amazing.

Lol. I do indeed wash before I drive. But stuff still accumulates.

Wear leather driving gloves. Always makes me feel like I'm racing...

Lol well in that case, just a lint brush for occasional dust from windows down driving. Just take care to condition the leather parts and not smear conditioner on the suede.

The main reason I like this wheel over the premium is because it's actually "black!" The premium wheel looks black to the untrained eye but it's actually a deep brown/dull black.

Spokes are close in color but not exact. The GT 500 wheel is just a shade darker than premium.

Can you take some pics showing how the buttons come out? Also wondering which connections need to be swapped. Are they the ones that plug into the back of the airbag cover?

I'm actually not swapping buttons as I have a 12. I'm just plug and play.

Ah. No worries. I stumbled across the other thread and it linked another thread, which had lots of pics.

Looks easy enough, but with plastic and electronics I usually break something. So I think I decided to wait until the leather goes out on my premium wheel.

Oh ok.

The wheel rocks. I don't think I'd drive a mustang without it. Just sayin!

Dumb question but what does the "OK" button do?

It's not on the Premium wheel...

I have an "ok" on the premium wheel. For a 13MY at least. It is used for phone BT command stuff mainly. But will also pause and un pause music played from USB or BT.
