1st Post, 1st-Ever Mustang, After 47 Years
After starting with a 1972 Cougar in high school (late '70's), I was more into Chevy & Honda than Ford, despite great experiences with a 1997 Expedition EB 4x4 & 1992 F-150 XLT. The 2005+ gen made me take notice, but it wasn't until the 2010 came out that I wanted to actually test drive a Mustang. Then the 2011 made me want to actually own one. Really badly. For the 1st time since 1970, when I was 8.
I was faced with a dilemma: pay for my kids' college & braces, and lower our mortgage payment? Or be completely frivolous and get my first new car since 1986?
So here I am, with my new 2011 Performance white GT convertible. I got it on dealer exchange from another state, but it was optioned exactly as I wanted. I chose white because my favorite color blue (Vista) was not available in 2011, and neither was my wife's favorite color: yellow. SO we settled on white as our default favorite, but after taking delivery of the car I have totally warmed up to the white, as you can see in the pics.
I hope to be a contributing member on this forum for many months and years to come.
BTW, I used the $750 in the 2011 Mustang brochure I got from Ford on-line, and my salesman said it was the 1st time he'd actually had a customer use such a coupon.

Wow, not a lot of white 2010+s around. Really shows off all of the curves of the new body.
That's one heck of a first Mustang. Very nice. Just know that your first will not be your last!

Eric: Great choice Sir and also welcome aboard! We have always just loved the classic white on the Mustangs! This because it looks so very regal when all polished and shiny! That thing is looking pretty hot you lucky dogs! Enjoy... CalStang

Congrats on a very nice ride!! Perf White was my 2nd choice after the Kona. I'm a first time Mustang owner also and I'll be 60 in Nov. Very exciting and I can't wait for the call to say my car is here!
