19" front & 20" rear rims - 2011 Mustang ???

I was just looking for some rims for a 2010 project we are doing and I stumbled upon a listing for 19" Front w/ 20" Rear rims. Does not specify model in our look up screen, but it does list production starting 03/15/2010! Just thought you guys might find it interesting!

Is this on a Ford computer system? That would be interesting!

Thanks for sharing!

Can't link it unfortunately, but it's on our Microcat parts look up screen! If it's on there, it is real folks! I work at a Ford dealership in Canada for all you guys that weren't aware.

I think that is for a new "SVT" option on the GT500 with a 20" 305 series tire on the rear. At least that is what I have heard before.

Sure sounds that way! By the way, I ran both the 19 & 20" numbers and they are showing 20 of each available out of Michigan, but no pricing! I think it would be cool to order them before anyone sees them, if they would actually sell them to us that is!

Yeah you're right. That info leaked a while back. It's for the '11 GT500 and '12 Boss.

Man I hope not. Putting 20's on a performance car would really get under the skin of the performance purists.

Those 20's better be wider then 9.5". Us GT500 owners already have problems hooking up on the 19x9.5 wheels and P285/35R19 tires

Yeah, those GT-R guys certainly aren't performance purists.
Neither are Lingenfelter Camaro guys.
Heck, the 911s (Turbo, GT3RS, etc.) all run 19s, and that car is half the size of the Mustang .

Face it, wheels are getting bigger (as are brakes), and until I see a test that shows they actually hurt performance besides the change in gearing (instead of just theory), that is fine by me--especially if they are forged. Until then, I will believe the tests that show an increase in size doesn't effect it in a measurable way.

20's work on a Mustang due to the fact the OEM height is 27" not 26" like most of the cars out there that run 19's. The 911's run a 305/30/19 which is just 26.2" tall. Issue now becomes tire availability. People think 19's are tough to find the right size..20's are even worse, although they do make them in the Mustangs application.

Boss - really??? I had heard about the GT500, but not the Boss. That'd be cool.
