13-14 LED fogs compatible with 12?

Hey guys, my question is more on the electrical side rather than physical fitment. I have a friend who wants to modify his GT grille and offered me his fog lights (with housing, not just bulbs), but I'm wondering if my 2012 harness will be enough to make these blue led fogs work? I really like the look of blue led (being oem led is jack pot for me), did anyone do this before or knows someone who did?

I'd be getting them like this http://www.starkey-products.com/imag...edfoglamps.jpg

The wiring is actually the easy part. We get this question from time to time. If you want a quick, plug-n-play option you can purchase this product:

http://www.starkey-products.com/must...11-led-GT-2013

You would need to use the drop down and select H10 connector option - all 10-12 GT's use H10 bulb connectors standard.

The hard part of this conversion is mounting up the lamps because the mounting style is completely different. It has been done by several that I've spoken to though.

Hi HizliBullet!

You definitely won't have any issues. The factory halogen fog lamps in your car now pull more amperage than the 13-14 LED fog lights, so no worries about blowing a fuse.

Just make sure that you are getting the complete assembly with bulb from your friend - the LED bulb is the most important because it is not something you can purchase anywhere else (even from Ford). You'll know your getting the right piece because it has a massive heat sink on the back of the bulb.

I have a set of 2014 OEM fogs for sale. I replaced them with the Starkey CS fogs.
