2013 front end is butt ugly!...and the rear glossy piano black looks cheap!...when a 4 door sedan (fusion) looks better then a 2 door coupe there's something wrong!

Currently a Corvette Owner!
It's a matter of your opinion of style, and price. I'm sure the '12's are going to get better discounts as the '13's start showing up on the lots.
I went through this when I bought my Mustang a month ago. Went to my dealer to buy a '12 Kona Blue coupe. To keep the price down, I was willing to forgo the premium package. As we walked back into the showroom, I spotted a Race Red, with factory chrome crager looking rims. The sales guy saw me looking (he may have purposely routed me towards it!), and informed me it was a '11 with the premium package, and 3K on the odometer, and thousands less than the '12 I was going to buy; it even came with a pre-owned warranty up to 100K on the drive train on top of the remaining factory warranty. Needless to say, I bought it. It had more features then I was going to buy on the '12.
So, go with what you want. It's good to solicit opinions here, but it's your car, your payments, so buy what you want, and don't go with what others say you should get.

no wrong answer here.... all about personal preference. If you ask a current 12 owner (like me) of course I'll say 12. If you ask a non 11-12 owner who is looking to own a 13 stang, of course he'll say 13
I like the 12 because it looks "rawer" and "edgier", overall. That's just me.

Personally, when i first saw the 2010 GT500 in magazines, i became a mustang follower. I have always loved the front look of the 2010-2012 shelby. In my opinion, the 2010-2012 shelby's with the fat stripes are some of the best looking cars EVER! tho i like the new quad exhaust and power of the 13 shelby, i think they ruined the overall look with that huge, thick, train-like front splitter. now with the lower side panels painted that '13 GT500 just looks silly with the big thick gray splitter. I saw it in person at the detroit autoshow and it looked bad!
The gt and v6 look great with the thin gray splitter. And now with the shelby look of the '10-'12 front, they look perfect! 2013 GT and V6 are some of the best looking mustangs of all time, only eclipsed by the shelbys from '10-'12.

I like the 12 & 13 front ends equally, but love the new 13 rear (and TrackApps), so 13 for me. I'd be very happy in either, though and I think, down the road, the 12 look will be slightly preferred by the masses. All preference.
