trust me. If you get a 6 you will be mad you did not get a v8 after a while.. When you go somewhere and pop your hood.. People will go...
I see it all the time at shows.. The 6's are fine but people do not respect em..
LOL, okay. OP (Eric), apparently, if you care about what strangers at car shows think of your engine when you open up the hood, you better go with a V8. Wuh?
I agree the OP should just get a GT, but doing so because of what others might think is weak.
By the way, a lot of people don't care about the 4.6 at car shows, unless it's supercharged, because the 5.0 is what gets attention now. Using that logic, you can argue that you might get the same
look when you roll up in a 2010, since everyone who did research knew the Coyote was coming.
Since you were considering a 29k '07, why not just get a 5.0? Carmax has their "No Haggle Pricing", so good luck bringing that down. You will want a 5.0 even if you got a 2010 GT.
This is all just my opinion.

Go to www.syncmyride.com and create an account if you don't have one already. Link your VIN and your cell phone together and it's part of the traffic/alerts piece. If you need more detail PM me and I'll guide you click by click.

Too bad. I had hoped the mustang community was pretty much past the stupid V6 vs V8 pissing contests once we had a technologically impressive 300HP/31MPG V6.
Honestly after seeing that ad for the '11 GT with like 3k on it for $26k, for me THATS a no brainer. Forget the other two cars and go for that. Even though its not a premium, with the several thou you save you can buy different seats or whatever and set it up for you and on top of that you've got the 5.0 rollin. Yummm...
This coming from a v6 owner!! But, of course! lol.. All im saying is that the v8 Mustang will give you a more satisfying car overall. Whether its a 4.6 of a 5.0. Relax, no one is saying your car is weak.
Jimmy's whole point was if you are that hung up on power, you should/will also look down on 4.6 V8s since the 5.0s are running around.
Also, I own a '08 GT(came from a '08 V6). Having driven both, I can't say I prefer one over the other.
So why do I have a GT over a V6? My V6 was messed up. Poor gas mileage, didn't get features I was promised, over paid, locked in with a bad dealership and on and on. Got the GT for the same money somewhere else, with all the features I was originally promised and better mileage.
If it wasn't for that V6, though, I can almost guarantee I would be in a Camaro or some grocery-getter right now. Even though it was messed up, it was still a great car.
Subjective and false. A mod or few can fix any "sound issues" real quick(and for probably cheaper than what you may end up spending on a V8). I've heard a few V6s put some V8s to shame.

Look, if you prefer the GT more over a V6, that's absolutely fine. But why feel the need to put down the V6 simply because it is so, or warn others not to get it because it's a V6? Like I said, I had hoped the mustang community was past that.
To the OP, get the 5.0 listed above. Best of both worlds. You get all the performance you are after(and then some) and better mileage than the Shelby.

I already said he should just get a 5.0, but because he wants it, not because what other people might think of him. Keep your insecurities to yourself
