'12 PP v6 orrr 07 GT
You said no one respects the car and implied people will look at you (and your car) with disappointment when they see a V6. The main reason people look down on a V6 is [perceived] lack of power. So not sure how you think no one is saying a V6 is weak when that is practically your whole point (even your opening sentence states as such).
Jimmy's whole point was if you are that hung up on power, you should/will also look down on 4.6 V8s since the 5.0s are running around.
Also, I own a '08 GT(came from a '08 V6). Having driven both, I can't say I prefer one over the other.
So why do I have a GT over a V6? My V6 was messed up. Poor gas mileage, didn't get features I was promised, over paid, locked in with a bad dealership and on and on. Got the GT for the same money somewhere else, with all the features I was originally promised and better mileage.
If it wasn't for that V6, though, I can almost guarantee I would be in a Camaro or some grocery-getter right now. Even though it was messed up, it was still a great car.
Subjective and false. A mod or few can fix any "sound issues" real quick(and for probably cheaper than what you may end up spending on a V8). I've heard a few V6s put some V8s to shame.

Look, if you prefer the GT more over a V6, that's absolutely fine. But why feel the need to put down the V6 simply because it is so, or warn others not to get it because it's a V6? Like I said, I had hoped the mustang community was past that.
To the OP, get the 5.0 listed above. Best of both worlds. You get all the performance you are after(and then some) and better mileage than the Shelby.

I had a shelby gt for a daily driver

First off.... someoen said that the GT500 is the only true shelby.. the true shelby out of the two is the shelby gt. The gt500 has more to do with ford then shelby. Shelby builds the gt in vegas.
If you have the choice get the shelby. You will get looks and lots of love. The car handles like a dream and the gas milage is pretty good. I was getting 20 mpg in town.
One big thing now one has said yet is the resale in a few years will be much much higher for the shelby then a run of the mill v6. I like v6 mustangs but the resale is awful on them.
some more info on the shelby

and its more sexy

Meh, regardless, I never intended to "throw my rants your way". I was just debunking your claim that a V6 will never sound as good as V8. Which is still subjective.Saying a V6 will not sound like a V8, no matter what's done to it, is true. The difference between then and now is you went from subjective opinion to factual engine acoustics. Just because it sounds "different" doesn't mean it sounds "not as good."

And Flagstang, you are probably the only GT(shelby or otherwise) that I've ever heard of getting 20mpg in the city on a regular basis.
As a DD, the smart choice financially and comfortably is obviously the PPV6 - mileage, amenities, insurance costs. Do these aspects mean more to you than power (and some, albeit limited, prestige).
The SGT is sexier, you'll probably feel better driving it, but racking up miles on such a car might be painful, and I doubt anyone wants an SE Mustang w/ 100k miles on it 4 years from now...
Also, you've completely overlooked a base 2011 GT. Many of same features of v6PP, more power but less amenities. Invoice on a 300A Coupe is 28235, minus the 1500 incentives, $750 brochure coupon, and whatever they offer you below invoice if they're clearing inventory. Power, better mileage than SGT, but no 'prestige' or comfort (well, not as much anyway).
Now you know the options, just figure out what you want

Ill only be putting on about 8k miles per year (based on previous experiences). I know i shouldve stated that earlier but it didnt really occur to me. Being such a short commute, and that i wont use it for road trips (escalade), i see no reason not to get a SGT. Since im saving money on it being a short commute, i might as wel take lesser MPGs and a heck of a lot of awesome

I completely understand your point of view. But i think im gana go with th SGT (over a 5.0, yes :P ).
Thank u all for your concerns
if i cant find a SGT ill look for a base 5.0 (or used 5.0 with few options)
