'12 PP v6 orrr 07 GT
As title tates,
Im looking at a daily driver, but still would like good performance:
2012 Mustang Premium V6 Perf Pack
-X-Plan
-perf pack
-maybe billet grill, blackout panels, ...idk. a couple options, exactly how i want it (probably with HIDs)
Or
2007 Mustang Shelby Gt
Ive found a white w/grey stripes Shelby GT (not gt500). 18k miles (super low!) At a price of 29k (without haggling yet).
White interior (
)
4.6L V8
Stock Shelby GT
What would you pick?
Is the performance very different? Does the v6 not throw you back enough? Almost as much as older V8? The Shelby GT also looks so dang good....
But its out of warranty :/ and the V6 also gets better mileage?
So my question...
Which one? Why?

The Shelby GT is not as big of a deal as one would think if used as a daily driver. I would go for the new car with the warranty as a daily driver.
If a toy, the Shelby would be sweet.

A truck would be my next daily, I am probably going to pick up a cheap civic this week to dive to and from work and in the rain and such.
But get the V6, its a daily....when stuff breaks you will be happy to have a warranty. IMO a DD is more function over form...

The interior on the new one is much nicer than the 2007, especially if you get the Premium Package. And the new V6 with Performance Package ought to be just about as fast as the 2007 GT.
The OP is referring to an '07 Shelby GT - not a regular Mustang GT. Limited production, great looking, awesome handling, and sweet sounding - even if it isn't any quicker than a '12 V6 PP. He said the asking price is $29K before negotiating. Might end up in the mid $20's by the time it's done and that would be reasonable for an interesting piece of Mustang/Shelby history.
the Shelby is 100% surely quicker then the v6. Torque is the answer.. + gearing.. No question, the Shelby will make you prouder to drive(people will poo poo the v6) + the v8 sound.. No question. BTW the interior is grey not white
Im not even mentioning that the shelby will be worth something in the future, the v6 Mustang will not. Youi will be much happier with a 3v v8 over the v6.. especially since you have an every day driver..

I found the build quality on the 05-09 Shelby GTs (not the GT500s) to be sorely lacking. The additions looked tacked on and the stripes didn't line up among other things. My choice is the 2012 V6 PP.

Very mixed reviews here....

Love it!
