10-11 TPMS sensors
What would happen if you had a set of drag wheels/tires without the sensors?
Would it just turn a light on the dash or ???
Haven't had a car with these on it yet and this question crossed my mind.

Should be fine. Last winter I put different wheels/studs that don't have sensors on my 08 Chrysler. The light comes on and I get a ding about every 30 miles. Then when I put the summer wheels/tires on that have the sensor, it read them fine and no more light or dings.

Where does everyone buy TPMS sensors at? I'm wanting to get a set when I buy new wheels. That way I don't have to worry about the light when I switch from summer to winter wheels. Will any generic sensor work, or do you have to buy a certain kind?

The light goes on in the dash when I put my track wheels on and drive more than 5 min.
when the stock wheels are back on it see's them again in about 10 minutes of driving and the light goes off.

You can buy and install a Motorcraft OEM TPMS kit ,,, or you can install whatever aftermarket TPMS system works with the Mustang, of which there are several,, Cost runs from 50-bucks to 150,,
You will need the calibration tool for those sensors to calibrate them to turn off the TPMS light..

Don't think you need the calibration tool on '10+
i have one from my '08, i changed the wheels on my '10 and didn't have time to program the new ones but the light never came on (did in the '08) and the old wheels are nowhere near the car..
i keep meaning to let some air out of one of the tires to see if the light comes on

American Muscle carries the early (2007-09) and later (2010+) TPMS sensors, but unfortunately the newer sensors are twice as expensive. $150/set for the early ones, and $300 for the 2010 sensor kit.

You can find them online for less than AM sells their kit for.
Just do a google search for 2010 mustang TPMS sensor.

The cheapest full kit of new sensors on the first page of Google Shopping results was an ebay auction for $217, although there was also an auction for a used set for $124. The American Muscle kit includes the syncing tool, which they sell separately for $35. There are cheaper options out there than the AM kit, but in every case, it seems like they are more expensive than the 2007-09 kits.
I don't really mind that all 2008+ cars are required to have TPMS as mandated by our government, I just wish there was a way to turn the light off for those of use who have multiple sets of wheels and tires so we didn't have to pay hundreds of dollars for sensors or live with a warning light going off.
