1 month anniversary and review of my 2011 GT

Yesterday marked 1 month since I picked up my Mustang. So I though I'd give it a little review.

What I bought: 2011 GT Premium in Ebony Black - 6 spd - 400A - Navigation - rear window louvers -30k miles - 2 previous owners - paid $22500 before taxes

Mods done before my ownership: HID head light bulbs with halos, black 5.0 badges, GT500 axlebacks

Mods I've done: Switched 5.0 badges back to chrome, weather tech trunk mat (barely a mod)

What I like about the car: It's fast, looks great, sounds great

What I don't like: Nothing, but it's my dd and next winter shall be interesting

Problems with the car: I didn't expect a perfect car since I was buying used, but it's got some minor issues: Light scratches here and there that could use some touch up paint, spots where touch up paint was used but was done poorly, 3 inch dent/scratch in front of right rear wheel, passenger air bag cover is scratched to hell, HID headlights giving me some problems, headlight covers scratched to hell.

Overall I'm extremely happy with the car. I've wanted a mustang for about a decade now. I remember when the 2005 model came out when I was younger, and I fell in love with the retro look and have loved all mustangs ever since.

Also, is anyone interested in starting a video forum for s197s. I feel like people learn tips, tricks, and how-tos easier through video. Kinda like this but for S197 mustangs https://www.youtube.com/user/E39Source/about

Dedicated winter tires on a second set of wheels are your friend. They cost about $1,800 for wheels+tires combined new or you can find a set on the classifieds here pretty often for $1,000 or less. Watch tirerack.com for the buy 3, get 1 free sale. Seriously, it's so, so worth the money. I don't care that I could have bought a bunch of cool mods with that money; having the ability and confidence to drive the car year round if you can only have one car is worth the cost.

My neighbor has a CTS-V and recommended the same thing. Let's just hope we don't have a winter like last year's.
