1,918 2014 GTs with glass roofs (and other deluxe build sheet data)...
#21
I also ordered a deluxe build sheet based of another member that posted his. When I first got it mine, I was super disappointed how vague it was since it stated in the advertisement that it would contain all available production figures. I contacted Helm, Ford etc., and they originally gave me the typical corporate run around.
I then contacted our resident Savior Deysha and she helped me out and got someone to listen to my concerns and provided me with a much more detailed rundown of production numbers.
Mine are as follows:
2014 Mustang:
134,083 Total Mustangs Produced
40,797 Total Mustang GT's
33,246 Total Mustang GT Coupes
4,119 Total Mustang GT Coupes in Oxford White
12,573 Total Mustang GT Coupes with Auto Select Shift
33,245 Total Mustang GT Coupes with 5.0 4V TI-VCT V8 Engine
3,168 Total Mustang GT Coupes with Charcoal Black w/Cashmere Leather interior trim
4,801 Total Mustang GT Coupes with Premier Trim w/Color Accent
6,110 Total Mustang GT Coupes with Electronics Package W/Navigation
1,779 Total Mustang GT Coupes with Engine Block Heater
12,573 Total Mustang GT Coupes with 3.15 Ratio Limited Slip Axle
29,774 Total Mustang GT Coupes with Tape Stripe Delete
12,267 Total Mustang GT Coupes with Comfort Package
4,614 Total Mustang GT Coupes with BREMBO Brake Package
1,918 Total Mustang GT Coupes with Glass Roof
4,405 Total Mustang GT Coupes with Rear Video Camera
4,418 Total Mustang GT Coupes with Rapid Spec 401A
I have noticed minor discrepancies of numbers to others build sheets. I figured not many cars came with odd combos like Glass Roof, Brembos and Engine Block Heater. The convertible GT cars would really seem rare as only 7,551 were made and if you add some options they would break down the numbers fast.

There was a time when the Deluxe Build Sheet broke down the MY to your VIN.
These sheets were reformatted & no longer include that much detail.
It's not that Ford doesn't have this information, they just see no need to provide it to their customers.

I think the big gripe is that we paid $50 for what's advertised on the site that they sell these sheets on.
http://www.shopfordgear.com/product....2YHNOREJJK4&s=
I quote the exact wordage : "the deluxe build sheet will include all available production figures"
If its not going to include all available production figures, don't bait and switch the customer.
If they have all this info, how long does it take someone to put this on a sheet of paper and send out in mail/email. For $50 they should be able to do this for its customers.

I caught that also right when I got my numbers. I wonder if these figures included prototypes etc.
Maybe someone at corporate got a Sleaper GT Coupe with a GT500 engine
Or possibly a GT Coupe with a prototype EB Turbo 4

I'd say more likely a GT with a Boss engine...easier to conceal!

That’s interesting, 1 Alibi 2. In the 8 ½ years I’ve been with the company, we’ve always provided the production numbers specific to the VIN separately and at no charge to the customer.
.
I'm so glad you chimed in, maybe you can speak to someone & get the Deluxe Build Sheets formatted like they used to be.......a long time ago.....2011.
.
This is my Deluxe Build Sheet for my 2011 Shelby GT500, note the date....( April 27, 2011 )
This was when the sheets told you:
" how many cars like yours were built "
.
I never ordered one for my 14 because of threads posted on TeamShelby, saying it just wasn't worth it. If this type of information was available to everyone.......why wouldn't they buy it
.
Please feel free to share this with anyone @ Ford Motor Co. you think cares. There is money to be made, just for selling the information you already have !!!

Deysha already noted that the "1 of XXX" statistics are only produced for "special production" cars (like your Shelby or the Boss 302). I don't think Ford has offered "1 of XXX" statistics for regular production vehicles for a while.
However, if I recall correctly, eventually Ford sells its production data to the company that produces the Marti Reports- which do break the VIN down to its "1 of XXX" value.

Marti Reports are available, but you usually wait ( 10 ) years to get one. Currently, MY 2007 Shelby GT500 is available, his deluxe sheet is $ 220.00.
.......( I will order 1 when MY 2011 is available )
.
Where do you think Marti gets his information ??????
.
Ford can tell you how many 1/4" screws it used in it's entire 2010 or 2013 MY production run. All production co.'s have to keep track of what they spend & on what. Marketing & sales keep track of what options sell, & what colors are least popular, they have to.
Remember the recent air bag recall, how do you think Ford knew what cars had what bag..................they have to !!
.
Members on TeamShelby & SVTP who ordered Deluxe Build Sheets for their 13 / 14 GT500's, didn't get what I got back in 2011.
And it's not because the information isn't available.
.
I posted my sheet, not to argue with anyone, but to show the level of information Ford does have on ( 1 ) car.
...........( no reason to think they don't have it for YOUR car )

Don't get me wrong- I agree with you that Ford definitely does have the 1 of XXX on my car (and every car they make), AND I think that is something they should make available to the end consumer (me).
I don't know why Ford has some of the policies they do (in fact, I'm not quite sure why the company I work for has some of the policies it does- and I helped create some of them ). I am for sure disappointed that Ford won't just tell me how many other 2014 Mustangs out there are just like mine (especially when it would take all of about 5 seconds to pull that data up).
I was even more disappointed in the ordering / delivery process. When I order a $10 lamp shade from Amazon, they email me to confirm the order has been received, again to confirm it is physically in stock, again when it ships, and I get a tracking number to follow it right to my door step. When I order a $40k automobile from Ford, the only person in the company that seems capable of giving me any status info is Deysha (who does a marvelous job). My conclusion was that Ford really doesn't like custom orders, and so they do nothing to encourage that practice.
I ran into another frustrating consumer experience last evening. Our F150 threw a DTC, so I hooked up my ProCal tool (purchased to install the Ford Racing tune) figuring I could use it to at least pull the code. Nope. Then I thought "surely, I should be able to display the code on the dash's LED screen." Nope. C'mon man, there's no reason I should have to go to the dealer just to get a code read (I know, you can also get it done at Autozone for free). On my '03 Jeep Wrangler, all you do is pop it in neutral, turn the key on and off 3x, and the codes are displayed in the odometer.
Its all these "little policies" that make or break a consumer's experience with the product. End of the day, I love my Mustang. However, I can't say I'm in love with the way Ford handles a lot of the situations I encounter as an owner of their product.

I would love to know how many cars were build that are just like mine, before and after the Roush Mods...
On another note:
I too would like to show my appreciation for Deysha and her commitment to informing and aiding the Mustang Community! Thanks you for all you do for us!
