I'm curious about why you guys think it's $1000 cash back AND the low financing. I'm not seeing anything that confirms that. Although I hope that's right. I'll leave my money in the bank for 36 months if so.

When I check the incentives for my area in Texas all that is listed is the lease special, no cash back and no special financing.

I wrote this question to my dealer today and this is what he told me:

Program 11838 (retail bonus customer cash) and 20270 (promotional apr financing) are compatible and both run until 1/03/11. Incentives usually only get better as the model year moves along.

I don't know why he just can't say yes or no? But I think this means that you do get both now.

Ted, your dealer is correct: the $1,000 rebate and special finance rates are compatible here in the Seattle region. I work at Bowen Scarff Ford up in Kent and check rebate info frequently to keep our websites up to date (I'm the internet manager).

I purchased mine from 5 star in Aberdeen. Sorry but I think I missed your dealership completely. Aberdeen was $200 cheaper than Olympia and now I can of wonder why I went 50 miles to save the $200? I guess the main reason was that Olympia only had one in stock at the time and Aberdeen had every color available at the time. But the last time I went there they were really low on stock also.

It's all good. We're all low on stock these days. Ford has cut back production dramatically for all models to better match supply vs demand. 3 years ago, we had 420+ new Fords on our lot at any given time. Now we have just 120 new Fords on our lot. We ask for - and take - as much inventory as we can from Ford, but they're just not flooding the dealers with inventory like the "good old days." We've sold a couple dozen '11 Mustangs already and have a couple dozen more on order at any given time, yet only have two in stock now. The next four due to arrive are all pre-sold, so our inventory of '11 Mustangs isn't getting any better any time soon.

I trust 5 Star offered you a good deal to make the distance worth your while. We've been ordering '11 Mustang GT's and V6's at just $99 over invoice. The $1,000 rebate makes the final price $901 below invoice. Other dealers here at TMS are offering similar deals. Last time I was at 5 Star they had a nice selection of hot Mustangs and Mopars. Seemed odd to see such a nice selection for such a small town dealer.

You're gonna love your new Mustang! I have a few friends that own them and one who is flogging hers at the local dragstrips already (Bremerton Raceway and Pacific Raceways). Very fast cars right from the factory!
