0-60 - what does track apps say?are they?
I am trying to determine what is normal for a 5.0 automatic and I am asking those of you with Track Apps - what are you recording in Track Apps for a 0-60 time?
My car is a 2012 5.0 automatic. Running on 91 octane, I am able to achieve 0-60 of 5.5 -6.0 sec. Once I did 5.2 This seems slow to me. What are all of you getting with your automatics? Please share.
Cheers

Just last weekend I got my all time best of 4.5 sec 0-60. 100%stock fully loaded late 2014 5.0 6A car.
Was in "s" mode trac control on and I just stomped on it from dead stop with perfect traction.
I don't buy any stock 3.7 being anywhere near sub 5 sec. I've driven plenty and there a pooch. Maybe get lucky with sticky tires and an aggressive launch stick car, but no way stock showroom condition.

If you have traction control on then it will be a serious challenge to get anywhere close to the rated time. You'll also have to be good on the throttle to keep from just spinning the tires for a while.

You absolutely correct that a stock 3.7 is not getting sub 5 second 0-60 mph. My N/A 3.7 is far from stock and has no issue using its 300 rwhp, 3:73 gears achieving under 5 second 0-60 mph runs. Because the lack of torque in my 3.7 I don't have traction issues when the temps and roads are warmer so it hooks fine with factory tires.
That's all I have to say.
I pulled a best of 4.4 with my wife's 5.0 stock. Had to roll on the throttle and it was still hazing the rear tires a little. I'm at sea level so that makes for quicker times than higher altitudes.
This was my all time best. I don't drive the car often and it currently has 2300 miles on it and I ran that 4.5 just recently. I figure it's "loosening up" and getting stronger. Mine is a "late 14" which has the 2015 head castings. When it had around 1000 mi on it I ran at strip and did a 12.9@109 and would consistently get between 4.6-4.9 at that point.

If you're getting that wide a range, I'm betting it's a driver issue more then anything.

I'll see what I get with trac off.
Need to be on the throttle just enough to get maximum acceleration without spinning the tires.
Just came back and tried without trac. Although, I can't spin my tires with track off either - or even in sport track mode. Time was 5.6, but I didn't launch perfect. I need to do this on a quiter stretch of road.
It helps the OP because he has a 370 rwhp 5.0 and no way his track app is correct when my cylinder deficient 3.7 runs 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds, his stock 5.0 should be faster than my modded 3.7. The point is, his track app is not correct and far from accurate. No way a factory 5.0 is running low to mid 5 second 0-60 mph runs. They are far faster than that. That's the point.

Hey OP, yeah, try and turn off the nannies and give it another whirl. Best I got on my V6 was 5.7
Others here on the forum have achieved mid 4's you Should be able to be in the mid to high 4's for sure!
practice makes perfect... I wouldn't waste too much time eating away at your tires trying to achieve it.

I remember driving my 92 Notch 5.0 through the Rockys once and felt like I had 30% less power up in elevation.
One thing to consider is the elevation of where your at. I noticed Alberta is around 3500ft. Where I am in the Twin Cities MN is about 800ft. So I have denser air thus more power down here.
