0-60 time improvement?

I have a couple of questions.
1. What is the weight difference between a base manual v6 and an automatic Premium(only mentioned because it adds weight) v6 and is there a significant change in 0-60 or 1/4 mile times?

2. I have an auto v6 Premium as mentioned above and with an Airaid CAI, Ford Racing axleback and 93 hybrid tune my best time so far has been 5.3s. If I upgraded from stock gears to 3.73, any ideas what the gain might be?

3.Other than the gear change and aluminum driveshaft what could get me under 5 if that doesn't?

My goal is to get to 5 seconds flat or under even. Prior to tune and CAI I was getting 6.7 and 6.8 seconds every time. I do not go to the track and this is based on what the car tells me. The 1/4 mile is fairly irrelevant because I'm never going to a track or hit ~100mph from a stop with the amount of cops out here.

Geez you were getting some really bad times, I don't know what it's supposed to be but me just messing around with just a CAI and 3.31 gears I got 6.1 secs on the little track apps screen. My take off was so sloppy too as I only have 1 month of manual experience.

I have a v6 premium manual performance pkg

Yeah I know, the times were steep to begin with, higher than they should have been as far as I can tell. This seems much more on par with what it should be.

Yeah for sure, what's the time for '13 stangs? 5.8 isn't it? 5.3 with all of your mods seems high to me, but I could be wrong. First time I did a 0-60 time I got 7.8 seconds lol so awful I've only done it twice because I didn't get the car for the speed, just used it to check it out and mess around

Do I take off traction control when I do this btw? I have turned it off both times but my tires spin so much in second gear so idk

I've read low-mid 6's is normal especially if you incorporate elevation above sea-level..the fact that the car was newer and is slightly heavier than the base model might bring it up a couple tenths but didn't think that much.

This guy gets the same time as I used to, must be normal then.

My 'bone stock' 2011 automatic with 3.31 gears did 0 to 60 in 6.1-6.2 seconds. I added a c.a.i. and a tune, it went down to around 5.7-5.8. I then added long tube headers and a shorty 'catted' x-pipe, my times went down to 5.2-5.4 seconds. Next i added an aluminum driveshaft and 3.73 gears, i'll have to run with drag radials to get my 0 to 60 times because i have no traction when starting from a dead stop . I'm sure it is 5.0 or less seconds to 60...

i used the track app to time my 0-60 in the auto start mode, elevation about 3000ft above sea level, it was during the summer fairly hot out, most runs was around 6.5, the best was 6.2.

not sure how motortrend got low 5s. 3000ft of elevation equates to only about 10% hp loss and shouldnt make up the whole 1 second difference, they must just have a really good driver.

Just seen this thread and although I have the 5.0 i can tell you that the cai/tune on mine brought the 60 down to a fairly consistent 4.3. I was at 4.6-8 before that. What you need to remember with the mags is that they usually correct the numbers to perfect conditions and to sea level.
They also aren't ripping off performance times on a dirty road. It's either at the drag strip or in a controlled environment. I'd say if your getting low 5's with your mods and your elevation that's pretty good.

To the other guy that is spinning enough to set off the traction control shifting to second, you need to be smoother with the shift and you will go faster. Two things will make you slower in racing, flying through the air and spinning the tires. Stay away from doing either.

I'd like to get to 5.0L times ya know? I saw someone go 5.1 in a 2013 gt automatic, I'd like to get high 4's for sure.
As for you...4.3, **** that must feel nice!
