Mark, is the all-star race this weekend apart of any of our leagues? I saw in the fantasy how we dont have to have picks in untill the 29th before the coca-cola race.

Not to answer for Mark, but this race is a non-points race. So, no it doesn't count in any of our leagues.

Yeah, I haven't bothered to create the new Race 12 threads since we have a two week break.

These weekends offs are killing me. I want to get back to points racing so I can start hacking away at Jason's point lead.

Something tells me that he won't be as easy to catch this year.

DJ's not on ym team anymore . . . and I will spare no cost this year. Since last year I didn't purchase any additional moves.

Of course Scott has about $100 worth of moves this year . . .

I splurged this year and bought the max (50?). But what I have found is the more trades I make the worse I seem to do. Last year I made up a lot of ground at the end by keeping a pretty consistent roster.

Busch (too expensive this year)
Mayfield
Sadler
Nemechek (slow start this year)
Kahne (too expensive this year)
McMurray (way too expensive this year)

Case in point: Last week I was going to trade Sadler and Riggs for Wallace and Mike Bliss . I was too late. Lucky for me because my trades would have lost me points.

My pre-race research seems to be flawed. The conventional favorites just aren't working out for me.

Congrats to Mark Martin. Well deserved victory. Very well respected man as you saw just about every driver in the race come by him with a thumbs up after he took the checkered. Glad to see him get the W.
