I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, please move as necessary.

I've got an opportunity to buy a car on a dealer's lot for x-plan instead of continuing to wait for my C/U order, but it has the spoiler. I've already got the CDC ducktail, and I don't want to deal with getting the holes filled & painted.

Would anyone in the northeast be interested in swapping their spoiler-free windveil decklid for a new decklid with the factory spoiler? I'm not sure if I'm going to get the car, this will be one factor in the decision.

Thanks,
Nick Wright

I would be interested. I have a brand new decklid (car purchased 10-15-05). My car is BLACK, so painting would be an issue. What is your location? I am ~55 south of Chicago.

Have you talked to the dealer about purchasing the car and having them order a new decklid for you at no cost or small cost? They might be willing to work with you in order to make the sale.

I explored my decklid options with the dealer. They have several windveil V6 mustangs without spoilers and are willing to swap, but they want $350 for the labor.

I've decided not to get the car; I didn't want leather or the Shaker 500, and adding a 1200 mile drive home on top of it didn't help.

Thanks,
Nick

Keep looking man, you'll eventually find one that you want. Have you put an order in anywhere yet or are you just looking to buy one off of the lot for x-plan?

I placed my order on 6/28 with a local dealer, still C/U. He just told me the region had an allocation for 1 GT this month.

I've been on the verge of cancelling and going with Ed Miller or Carlos, but at this point I won't have it before winter anyway so I might as well stick with my current order.

Ouch, sorry to hear about the terrible allocation. While I was waiting for my order I made a habbit of searching dealer inventories on Ford's website for about 6 states around me.

Good luck and I hope you find one!
