GT convertible
Need some more pics of windveil blues.
Here's mine.
Exterior wise, I did little. Just the Shelby spoiler ($99 including paint), the vinyl blackout on the back, chrome tail pipes, covers on the mirrors and the 18 inch polished Bullitts.
I really like the look of the polished rims. When I bought the car, it was a base GT, but had the optional 17 inch rims. I got the 17 inch argent painted rims soon after from Newtakeoff.com. I finally went to these last month and like how it compliments the blue.
I have no mechanical mods (except a strut tower bar). The mods are mostly in the interior, and pretty hard to notice, as most is retrofitted. I have:
-Honda S2000 start button
-chromed Ford Fusion door grommets
-interior chrome door handles from Ford Taurus
-chromed bezel around auto shifter (I really tried to find an auto when I bought the car, but couldn't find one)
-Ford Racing illuminated door sill Mustang script - not installed
-retrofitted Ford DVD headrests (I have sooo much more peace and quiet in the car now!!)
-retrofitted nav unit
-Bullitt steering wheel
-retrofitted ambient lighting
-one touch turn signals
-one touch rear windows
-blue gauge faces
-my own e-brake boot
-shelby e-brake handle
-retrofitted power passenger seat
-retrofitted heated seats
-interior being changed from dove grey to charcoal black
I have everything to change the colour of the interior, but haven't done the carpet or seats yet. As I have 2 young children in car seats, I will leave the seats for a while until they are old enough not to destroy the seats. The rear panels are painted, while the replacements are in storage for the same reasons.
I will say that the biggest pain was changing the entire dash, as the whole thing had to be pulled out.
I made a 1:18 replica of my car (with completed black interior, of course) from an Autoart windviel blue car. I had to cut the roof off and took parts off other models to get it to look like mine.
Cheers

Sir, I LOVE your car!!
I got a perf white 2011 'vert (intending to add blue stripes later) because in my opinion neither the Kona nor Grabber blues were the 'right' blue. I thought I wanted Vista Blue, but hadn't heard of Windveil blue until looking thru 2005-2009 colors section with my daughters. All of us agree your car looks sophisticated. They LOVE the matching scale model!
Are there any Canada-only aspects to your car not listed? We especially like your blue gauge faces!
BRAVO! GREAT car!

Love the car man I just got my first mustang for my 18th birthday last week I love it, windveil blue is a awesome color, I was trying to decide weather to get my rims chromed or make them black but as I can see from your car chrome is the answer

Just getting my 07 GT Vert/Camel interior in a day or two. I've had lots of grey/black interiors in other cars and wanted tan this time. Lots of time to keep it clean and make mods. I want the Sequential tail lights and the One touch Signals (I looked at WebElectric and those 'barstewards' won't sell to Canadians- I guess no recession for them).
I love the colour and can't wait till spring. It's at the stealership addressing a diff problem. Fortunately bought it at a dealer and they're covering that cost. I heard the diffs are a problem with the V8. Glad it's getting fixed up. Where did others get their One Touch signal kit? (how do you attach a .jpg?)
