Well, so much for it being a Mustang only color thanks Ford...........

Still it looks best on a Mustang (as do all colors) and I don't think the Escape is a POS by anymeans, now slap it on a Honda and then we can talk POS.

The Escrap just doesn't deserve to have Vista Blue as a color!
Next thing you know, the Focus will become available in Vista Blue, and the 18" GT wheels will be available on the Focus.

Hey Mark, the current 2007 Escape actually come in Vista Blue. I'm driving one with the XLT Appearance Package (Silver painted bumpers), for my company car. It looks good in it. Sonic Blue has been fully discontinued from the color palate.

Oh sorry. I was relying on this site for that info. http://www.paintscratch.com

The link in my 1st post above does correctly indicate Vista Blue for 2007.

That site also indicates Sonic Blue was an 06 Escape color.

No worries dude. I did see the new 2008 Escape brochure. There is a pic of an Escape in there in Vista Blue. Looks great all one color, and no more cladding.

I dont get why Ford is making the same colors for their other vehicles. My sister just bought a ford fusion in tungsten grey.. I had no idea that car had that color until i saw it.

It's not. Mine has been one of the most reliabe vehicles I've owned. Apparantely Metroplex has a pretty narrow-minded viewpoint.

How is an underpowered SUV (with the wrong engines and drivetrains) comparable to a Jeep Liberty, deserving of having the same beautiful color as a modern fastback musclecar?

Maybe Ford should sell the Focus, 500, Fusion, Crown Victoria, E-seriies, Grand Marquis, Town Car, Montego, and Milan in Vista Blue as well, along with oxford white vinyl stripes, the round driving lamps, and maybe put the Pony logo on every car as well followed by "GT".

It's just a color. Get over it.

Isn't this a thread and a forum devoted to the G9 color? Silly me... commenting and talking about the color I like.

I felt the Vista Blue and Sonic Blue colors made the Mustang just a bit more unique in the Ford lineup. Ford has contaminated this by wasting the same color on some mini SUV.

Sonic Blue is not a unique Mustang color. It's been used on the F150, Ranger and Focus in the past.

Oh well, at least Vista Blue was unique to the Mustang for just a brief moment.

FWIW, I didn't realize that the blue for the Focus was the same Sonic Blue as the Stang. It just didn't look right on any vehicle other than the Stang. Vista Blue looks absolutely wrong on the Crown Victoria, but the Deep Wedgewood Blue on the Crown Vic looks out of place on the Stang.

Hey Metro, just to let you know, the Escape is the best seling small SUV around. It rides so much smoother than a Liberty. The Liberty rides like a truck (or should I say a Jeep).

You know not for nothing, but the Fusion looks fantastic in Tungsten with black interior. That being said I thought it was cool to have Vista be used on Mustangs only, but lets face facts it's a fantastic color and will be used to help sell the other Fords out there. That doesn't mean it still does not look best on a Mustang (just like Sonic blue). Honestly if you want to complain about "pimping" our beloved G9 around, you should be glad it's not Alloy Grey. They got that on the 500, Edge, Explorer and I might be missing some. We ended up ordering the Edge in Alloy (Carbon on trucks/Suv's) but my mother kept saying the same thing when looking at the color on the others cars "it really looks the best on the Mustang".
