Black stripes on Vista Blue GT/CS?

My wife ordered a Vista Blue GT/CS vert that should be here in about a month. We plan on putting Flows, JLTII intake, and BamaChips tune on in sometime during the summer.

Unfortunately, my wife is hesistant on putting white racing stripes on the car. She prefers something a bit more suttle.

My question is, how would black stripes look on the car? Does anyone have them? I'm thinking it might look good with the black vert top and black GT/CS door stripe.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Pics?

(SIDE NOTE: A friend of ours just got a Vista Blue GT/CS, as well, so I REALLY want stripes so that they're not identical).

I've had Matte Black stripes in my CS... IMO the only possible stripe color for CS is Matte Black. Other colors won't fit with CS side stripes and look stupid.

I'm not a big fan of black stripes on the blue unless as said its on a CS. Another VERY cool looking 'stripe' is painting the center section of the hood black(between the feature lines down to where it meets the grille) like Steeda does. Silver pin stripes on the edges looks super sweet.

This is the closest I could find:

1. black stripes on Sonic Blue vert:

2. Black Le Mans and Boss stripes on Vista Blue coupe:

Wink

Seen one with black stripes... the stripes just seem to get lost. I would go with white on mine if I was to stripe it. However.... since everyone is calling this my "midlife crisis car" I am gonna keep it free of stripes cause I think it just looks cool that way! I have gotten sooooo many compliments on the car I can't even say how many!

How bout the Tungsten Grey as a Stripe...that would look sick on a Vista...and still subtle...and not get as lost as the black. Or even a touch lighter shade of a darker grey.

matte black is the only color for CS... or you need to remove side stripes if other color.

Or just go with no stripes, I mean do you really need them?

Its subjective--a matter of personal taste. So, do what appeals to you. With blue, I personally like a silver stripe. More subtle than white, but still adds contrast.

Here's a satin silver stripe on my WVB 06. JMO, not as much contrast as white, but still enough to provide an accent.

Play around with the paint striper on this site. It should give you an idea of what various color stripes will look like on your car.

IMHO, you should stay with the color theme of the car. If the side stripe is black and the top is black then the only option is either black to match or no stripes.

I like the one a few posts up- think this would look good with a black 'vert top too, but I'm kinda into the black on blue thing - I did my rockers, lower bumpers, and wing- still only have a magnetic blackout on the back, but will get around to spraying that sooner or later too...on the hood blackout, I'd opt for leaving an inch or two of blue around the front, and a 3/16~1/4 outline stripe
