I'm going to try to keep this as understandable as possible...

The color of the 2003 Mustang GT Concept Coupe was called Tungsten.

The color of the 2004 NAIAS Show Car was called Titanium. The stripes were Quick Silver.

The color for 2006 Mustang is called Tungsten. The 2006 Mustang press release says that Tungsten Grey was first shown on the 2004 NAIAS Mustang show car. They are not the exact same color.

The Ford GT was offered in Quick Silver in 2005. Tungsten Grey replaces Quick Silver in 2006. The paint code for Quick Silver is the same as Mustang's Satin Silver--TL.

People have been asking what color the stripes were on the show car since they have ordered a Tungsten '06. The stripes were Quick Silver, which is the same is Satin Silver, but 2006 Tungsten Grey is not the same as show car Tungsten.

Well, since you put it THAT way!

Thanks, Brad. Many people have debated if Tungsten is the same as the '04 NAIAS Titanium. I don't care how much you compensate for indoor/outdoor or natural/artificial light, there is that difference.

Still, it will be nice to see how an '06 looks with silver stripes.

Nice work...

so, the 06 mustang tungsten is not the same color as either show car, or the ford gt shown above? Why would they say the color first appeared on the the 04 show car if its not the same color?

Well that's good info. I am still leaning toward painted, satin silver stripes. Although I would like to see a Tungsten GT with black stripes just to see.

Will Titanium ever be made available '07? '08 ? ? ? I can tell there is a difference between Titanium and Tungsten, but not enough for me to wait another year or two. I have already been waiting since 2003!

Thanks for the info and the clarification on the color. I had thought Titanium and Tungsten were the same, but when reports of the purple in it starting coming out it made me question that because I definitely did not see any purple in the show car in Detroit and Cleveland in '04. I'll have to take a cruise to the dealerships tomorrow, see if I can get a look.
