So if Tungsten looks like DSG then apparently it looks like hiney.... doh!
Ok, I have to ask, knowing Tungsten is a metal flake color (ie REALLY looks cool in a lot of light) and knowing the other part of the color is GREY, then if you didn't want a car that would sometimes look grey then why in the world would you order the color. I just don't get it

Well I was hoping the flake would show in low light as well... according to ShadowGray... the "ShadowGray" does not show the flake unless it's in very bright light... There are a lot of metallics out there that will show flake even in low light.. so that's why I ordered the color based on the show car pics and the paint sample pics that were posted here.

As I'm sure many others did.

Either way it really doesn't matter... if I get it and hate it I'll just repaint it the way I want it. But I'd have to hate it to go that far.

Cool, I just noticed we pretty much ordered the exact same car.

Anyways, I would imagine the flake will probably show... something to remember about digital cameras is that they will average colors they have problems with... such as metal flake finishes.

I also agree on getting it painted... though that's not cheap. Fortunately I'll hopefull have time to see the color and change it if I don't like it, though I'm thinking that's not gonna' be a problem.

OK, I retract my earlier posts about the production Tungsten not being the same color as the show cars. I went down to my dealer, pulled out T8 sheet (8"x11") and went out at 6pm with the sun at my back and held it on the fender of a Satin Silver GT w/ 64D's (not that the wheels matter, but those are the very ones I'll be ordering on Pup's '06... I love the contrast. The bullets are too much the same color).

Ladies and Gentlemens... I gotta basketball Jones... er, Tungsten Jones again... this color is going to POP in the sunlight like we all want it to... like it does at the car show. On overcast days, it will appear darker, but not as dark as Dark Shadow Grey.

It's going to be sweet, so if you've ordered yours, do not have any second thoughts about your decision. Just enjoy life, and look forward to one beautiful color. I was thinking of going to Vista Blue or Legend Lime myself, but I'm confident now, and look forward to ordering the car in Feb '06...

It's all good!

Yes and if you look at CDGuns post, (4 posts above this one) you will see a pic of the show car on the grass outside. I clicked on that one and clicked on the one from TN615 with the car from the same angle. The color indeed looks to be exactly the same as the show car.........thank GOD!
