I like mine as well. It looks very dark under overcast skies and at night. In bright sunlight, it does look a bit purple. One of the levels of my parking garage at work is painted in a bright purple. When I park there...the whole car takes on a very strong purple tone.

I like the fact it changes color a bit. Matches my mood swings!

So it's got a bit of lavender in it under certain light? That's what makes it different - and better - than every other grey out there.

Get over it!!!
If you don't like the color maybe you should have looked before you leaped, The general concesus is that ALL the colors are great to there owners, just because it is not the "GREY" of grey's doesn't mean you should complain.

so GET OVER IT!!!

Yeah....kind of looks purple to me. Of course, my mineral gray kind of looks brown.

Tungsten (the metal) has a purple hue to it from certain angles as well. I assume that's why Tungsten (the color) also does. Take your concerns up with the earth's crust.

I wish they would have used the Dark Shadow Grey from '04. I think the 05/06 would've looked GREAT in that color.

First time post. I've got a V6 Tungsten Grey on order. I too ordered just from pics and brochure. Thought the tungsten grey would go great with the wheels included with the Pony Pkg. After reading the threads about tungsten I began to doubt my order. Drove about 100 miles to a larger dealership where I saw almost every color available. Came away happy with my choice of Tungsten Grey, although I also like the Blue colors (classic look).

Now to my reason for this post. I just got done watching an episode of 'Overhaulin'. They rebuilt a 1970 Nova. Painted it a new color of Gray. Similar comments were made during the show about the various shades and pigments the color looked under different lights. Reminded me of the threads on here about Tungsten Grey. The color Purple was mentioned by the owner during the reveal at the end of the show. If you get a chance to watch the episode of Overhaulin' called "Nova-Caine" check it out.

I'm wondering if it is the same color on the 06 Mustangs.

This whole debate comes from a people who ordered their cars sight unseen, based on a color they THOUGHT was the same as tungsten which appeared at the auto shows. I think it's a great color, but if you bought a car painted a color you'd never seen...sorry, but that's your fault.

I hope I didn't come across as looking to blame someone. Once I did see tungsten in person I did prefer it to the other colors I saw. I believe I will be very happy with my car when I get it in a couple of weeks Sometimes to much info can overwhelm a person. I began to doubt myself after reading so many others opinions. I went with my gut feeling when I ordered tungsten, and I am glad I did.

Just saw that episode last night. It isn't. The Nova was much darker.

TUNGSTEN IS A GREAT COLOR! I LIKE HOW THE COLOR CHANGES AND LOOKS DIFFERENT DEPENDING ON THE AMOUNT AND TYPE OF LIGHT IT IS IN.

I know we're kind of rehashing an old topic, but I can't resist piping in one more time...it really depends on how the light hits it...this is Tungsten (my car)!!!!
