I'm looking for anyone with a sonic blue 05 with the rear blacked out on the trunk.

I was thinking instead of going with silver striped the length of the car, maybe blacking otu the back end and the spoiler, but I'm nto too sure how it would llook on my sonic blue.

It looks nice on the Mach 1s from 03 that are blue, but thats not the same blue as the 05 ...

any opinions, or does anyone have this done already?

Don't do it, the Sonic Blue looks good with stripes but don't black out the rear end. JMO

Black on Sonic would look great, but have a rather subtle contrast. The blue is so dark than the black won't be noticed at too great a distance. But maybe that's what you want? There is a Sonic Blue Steeda Mustang on here somewhere. Search for that one (I believe they called it Sonic Boom?) Check out the photoshop forum as well. Silver (or white) gives an in-your-face contrast which I think looks awesome with Sonic. What I'm not too sure about is the silver AND the black together. Keep body accent colors to one, IMO. Still, to each his own...

I don't have a pic but have seen a sonic blue with the rear blacked out and it looked pretty darn good.

ya i just havent seen the spoiler blacked out on it ...

I dunno, i mean ive wanted the stripes, but there jsut some way the lightt hits the hood that i think it would take away from its overal lappeal. I want to do soemthing though to it ... and blacking otu the backend and spoiler is a simple, probably affordable alternate.

Dan , I see by the tag you're a Dolphin fan. What part of Florida do you live in that gets all the snow ...

I personally think it would look great. Especially if you put on a black Shaker scoop and a black stripe coming from the scoop like the Mach's.

I guess he just saw the colors and thought it was the Dolphins. I can see how that would confuse someone.

Edit: Football season can't come soon enough, by the way.

I like the blacked out rear, but not too keen on the blacked out spoiler.

The Mach's "grabber" blue is quite a bit lighter. I was thinking along those lines also, but I'm afraid it may come out too dark. I don't want to be the guinea pig, but if I have to.....
