heather,
nice ride, i always liked the redfire color, and the laser red from the previous versions. if i would have to buy a new one it would be the CAR definitely! keep the thread alive.
starting to do mods to mine but none you can see.

Wow Burke that is a magnetic blackout panel. I purchased one of those last year and returned it because it had some scratch marks on it and I thought it looked cheap. However yours looks great! Did you armor all it or something? It looks like it is a hard shiny piece of plastic.
Why didn't you get the hard one?

I leave it on when I wash the car most times so it gets cleaned regularly and less removal = less handling of it and chances for it to get messed up.
If by hard one you meant the Xenon one (or whatever is the clear black plastic one), I DID
A) didn't look as good as it did in pics and more importantly B) the gap around the decklid badge was rediculous - you either had a ring of RED around the entire badge or a nice slice of red down on one side if you tried to get it to fit closer on one side
I really thought it was a lame piece
The Silverhorse is super nice but I just was not into the honeycomb look for my car. I just wanted the flat black look.
Most people looking at it in passing think its paint until they look closer - they definitely don't think its a magnet.

I am actually considering just painting it because I am going to paint a stripe on the hood and also paint the spoiler black so I might as well paint the deck lid too. Then there is no maintenance whatsoever.
Any thoughts?

If you are going satin black, consider using DuPont Hot Rod black. From what I've heard, it's low maintenance, wont stain from wax and won't fade easily.

Ok, better late than never. Here is an assortment from last May and a few shows throughout last summer. I'll be happy to answer any questions. I'm here in Wisconsin, and ironically she's coming out tomorrow! Then I can get those little things purchased over the winter installed. Enjoy!

Great pics! Love the Retro look!. I actually have the California Special emblem for my Redfire but I still haven't decided where the best place to put it is. I thought it would be crazy to put on the rear fender where the original was which would mean I would have to put holes in the car but now that I have seen yours I am going to give it a second thought.
Any chance you could upload larger images. I would love to get a closer look at the detail. More pics would be great too!
Thanks
