My 2008 PW GT Convertible Diary.

Since we lost all of the post back to January, along with a ton of great threads, I decided to redo my "diary" for my car.

Here goes:

Became owner of the car on June 12, 2009. It had 6,777 miles.
Began modding the car shortly after.

Here is how the car looked when we first got her.

When I first got the car it already had a lot of very nice mods done to the car.

Roush CAI, Roush Stage 2 Suspension, Roush Lowering kit, Flowmaster exhaust, Eleanor Grille, Headlight Splitters, light bar, Katzkin Cobra seat covers, Cobra badges, GT500 wheels, GT500 Spoiler, 3D Carbon chin spoiler, 3D Carbon Side scoops.

Soon after the mods began.

I started off with improvements to the aggresive look of the car.

June 23rd, I purchased the Smoked read side markers, the Smoked corners, and the bulbs associated with them.

The Smoked side markers were out of stock when I placed the order and StangMods had some issues getting the right part back in stock. But they recieved the correct part and promptly sent me the item. Very pleased with the customer service of StangMods, and I highly recommend them to everyone.

June 25th I ordered the 12v plug from MGW.

On June 20th I ordered the Smoked LED third brake light, from of course StangMods.

Recieved the item, installed it, and there was a issue with the wiring of the item. Sent the item back and StangMods tested it and sent me a replacement.

7/27/09 I became a member of the Magic City Mustang Club.

Order the G2 Caliper paint (Red) on July 8th.

On August 8th me and a couple of members from the Magic City Mustang Club went to Bama Dragway to see what kinda times we could get. This being my first time ever down the track I was extremely excited about going.

My first pass I put down my best time. 9.19 at 80mph on street tires.

August 12th I ordered the 6k HID kit from HIDGuy.

On August 16th we then traveled to Steele, Alabama to take on the International dragway and to see what it'll do in the 1/4 mile. Best 1/4 mile time was a 13.19 @ 100mph on street tires.

August 27th I ordered FRPP 3.73 gears, and I am currently waiting to get them installed and get a tune from Bama chips.

Throughout the last couple of months I have spent a fair amount of money on my car, and put atleast 5,000 miles on her since we got her. And during this time I have made a lot of new friends and had some experiences I will never forget.

Hope you enjoyed it.

Will be updated when more stuff is added.

very nice man, sometimes i wish I had gotten a vert....you've done good on it so far though. BTW, 13.1 or 14.1 at 100? The reason I ask is because hte mph doesn't quite add up

Thanks. It may have been 14 I'll have to go and look at my time slip, I was doing this all from memory pretty much so somethings could be off a little.

Was in my first judged car show this past weekend, 10/3/09. Magic City Mustang members did pretty well in the show. Heres some pics, and a few additional shots.

Me accepting an Honorable Mention award. Woot!

The Magic City Mustang Club members that went to this show.

Here's a better pic of my seats for those that wanted to see them.

Just a little update.

I added some additional mods to the car.

Ford Racing Strut Tower Brace.

And painted mirror covers. Think they should have been like this from the factory.

Been awhile since I updated this, so this is what I have added since I last posted in here.

I bought some Midwest Auto Gear strut tower covers to start the underhood dress up.

Got some tail light tint from StangMods.com to tint the tails.

I finally was able to get the 3.73 FRPP gears and 93 race tune from Bamatunning installed. What a difference they made to the car.

Finally took the Cobra badges off the car and painted some GT badges and got a custom Faux Gas cap made.

Gonna sell the Cobra badges if anyone is interested in them send me a PM.

Cobra Badges for sale.

Thanks guys. It's been awhile since I updated this. I beat my personal best at the track a couple months back with a 13.6 at 101. And I have also plastidipped the wheels. But other then that mods have been on hold, marriage and a house slowed that down.

And my wife and I have added another S197 to the stable. Her 2009 Vista blue GT/CS.
