Okay had to post a few pictures to satisfy some of you. They are not good due to the lighting in my garage. I will post way better ones from the car show on Sunday. Enjoy and let me know what you think, my wife thinks the stripes are awefull.

I'm surprised at how good they look. You made the right choice, Richard.
Can't wait for the car show pics. Don't forget to post them in the stripes thread along with the measurements.

Will waxing make it shine though?

No, waxing will not make it shine. It will always be a mat finish. I got a length of the same vinyl to try wax on to see if it leaves a hazy finish, but I have not tried waxing that yet. I did try the Mothers spray polish on it and it does make it look kind of darker, but still flat.

All in all, I think it turned out great. I will have some way better pictures on Sunday night. Thanks to those who have given me some feedback. As for the wife....I will keep her, she is just going to have to get used to the stares from everyone.

I really appreciate the pics, the car looks really good. And it helps me make a decision on what I would go with.

Personally, I like the gloss black better. But like I said, car looks great!

Here is a pic of my stripes.

3" gap 14" wide

Dark charcoal grey with the same metal flake count as the body paint.

nice and laid back not in your face.
I went with the wider stripes, I think it shows of the cruves and grreat lines of the Mustang better.

Your car looks great.

Oh, just a side note.

I used a laser level to get the stripes evenaross the whole car.

Man what a job...... it took my friend and I 8 hours and we have
striped about 20 vehicles each.

Intruder,
Do you have any more pics of your car from back, top, etc?

I was asking about your car awhile back concerning stripe dimentions and placement. You just answered that question....thanks.

I like the wider stripes and agree with how they show off the curves of the new mustang.

Thanks

I like the color of your stripes, but can't say I like the size. Since they are so wide and are not tapered, the outside of the stripes on the hood don't flow with those lines down the outside of the hood that curve down to the grill. I would have tapered them if I were you, especially with them being that wide. Racing stripes are meant to be tapered a bit, getting smaller down the hood to make the car look like it's moving when it's sitting still. With the way your stripes are against the lines in the hood, it makes it look like it's coming to a screaching hault... or like it's in reverse. I'm just not feeling that look at all.

I didn't think I would like the flat black, but it looks ok. I still would have gotten gloss stripes, but it's not all that bad to me. But, with your stripes being flat, and the edge of the stripes being so obvious now against the gloss mineral grey, you are going to see every little mistake in the stripes. Like the fact that the gap on the hood is slightly smaller than the gap on the front bumper. Where, if the stripes were glossy, the naked eye would probably not even catch that because the stripes would blend in better with the mineral grey.
