Planning on getting my black GT (red interior), upgraded with stripes. Not sure if I should go for painted or vinyl.
But what color to get? Anyone have color schemes or good pictures of my colors with different stripe colors?

I'll be subscribing to this thread.... very interested in what color stripes people like on their black S197's.

 

Personally, I really like black with 12'' white stripes. I know a lot of people say it looks like a skunk, but I think the contrast is awesome. I was also thinking about a single off-centered white stripe with the small pinstripes on each side

 

I am a big fan of stripes. I have a black '07 GT/CS. I ordered matte black 10" Le Mans stripes from BSM, but I have been very hesitant to put them on. I'm not as sure as I once was. I think VegasJay has a sweet looki' ride with the white on black. It definitely does not remind me of any skunk. I also like the red stripes I've seen. So white for sure and maybe red. I love the silvers and golds but I don't like it unless it is Shelby or a GT-H tribute. There are two Shelby GT's around here and a guy with a GT-H tribute and I don't want my car confused with theirs.

 

I like satin silver on the black cars. Allthough I am a little bias.

Personal preference here - but if you can afford it go for the painted on stripes. Two reasons - they LOOK a lot better (especially if you can get them done with clearcoat) - and you have many more choices in color.

Black car with red in terior - why not red stripes? Or, Alloy maybe.

Red stripes here (10" from BSM). I also have the red interior.

 

Silver over white will be way easier to keep clean IMO. I have satin silver versus white since every other Mustang I have seen went with white and I am silver.

I went with charcoal metallic (goldish color), 10" Vinyl. Here's an HDR picture, and the last one is the same day I put them on (see the dried up water streaks on the hood)
