Does the light bar have any function (besides the extra brake light of course) i.e. is it a roll bar also? I am not a huge fan of anything that signifigantly changes the profile of the this car. The vert looks amazing with it's top dropped and I really think the light bar breaks up the line too much. Clean and simple carries the day for me every time and I know this might just be a case of personal preference but I was curious if it actually had a practicle application I was missing.

As I understand it it offers no rollbar-like protection.

It's a fairly beefy steel tube under the molded urethane on the CDC lightbar, and it's well attached to the car. It's no full rollcage, but I'd rather have it than not in a rollover.

In our lawsuit driven society, it's much safer for CDC to advertise it as they do, whatever it's strength properties.
