My first was a 1965 2+2. Still wish I had her. V-8 289 H.P. 4 speed. Now have the 2011 6 cyl with pony package. I actually get better gas mileage, insurance is actually cheaper too. I paid $27,359 drive off the lot for the 2011. I paid $3300 for the 1965. So the new one cost about 9 times what the '65 cost, and gas is about 10 times more than it was in '65. Relatively, I would say, they probably cost about the same based on the economy; however the features have greatly improved... run flat tires, stereo, safety equipment, leather interior, air conditioning, etc.

I joined in 2004 to learn more on the new car (for both work and for hobby) I ordered my 2006 GT back in August 2005 and picked it up in Feb 2006 (this was when the supply still didn't meet demand). Had to wait a week for the stripes to be painted at the body shop we use. Still have my car with LOTS & LOTS of mods later!!

I got the urge for a second car and decided to get a Mustang. Always wanted one but it wasn't practical as I always needed a truck for work. So I was at the dealer and they found an 07 sitting on the lot in Houston. This was early July of 07. Anyway it was a black GT/CS and they couldn't tell me what color the stripe was so I googled it and found TMS. I saw a pic of a black CS with a black stripe and was sold. I found the place interesting and lurked for a while till the mod bug hit and then I joined in October of 07.

Didn't post much at first. I think it took me almost 6 months to get 100 posts. Then all heck broke loose and look at me now.

Joined in 05, after selling my 73 'Vert to fund a purchase of my 05GT 'Vert. Had to take a V6 'Vert for a few months while the GT was built...winter came and slowed down the process but finally brought home the 05GT the first weekend of March, 2006. Loving it more every day...
