New Factory Ford Accessory Lighted Door Sills

I was Downloading Some info from Ford and Stumbled Accross this. I have No Pricing or Particulars yet But Here is How You Install Them. Look Like you have a Choice of FORD RACING, MUSTANG or SVT for your Lighted Door Sills! Instructions Indicate 2008 Up But I can Not See Why it would Not Work on Earlier Models at this Time.

Enjoy,

KC

WTH is Ford thinking? Sure, appeal to the younger generation - but that's just stupid.

(IMO, of course )

I like the idea too, car needs a little something more than just the two little dome lights.

Your firend admits to owning an Xb these might be cool, might not. I think the SVT ones should light red though

I'd figure you'd vote for Vista Blue , but I hope that it would match your interior lighting

If this isn't too expensive, I'd definitely be in for a set (thats assuming I can get "MUSTANG" in blue lighting).

On fordracingparts.com, they only list Ford Racing and SVT sills, not one that only says Mustang. KC, is a Mustang sill forthcoming?

Ford Racing - the Ford illuminates in blue, Racing illuminates in red.

SVT - illuminates in red.

By the way, they list the sills at $275 for the pair.

Cheers

Sounds cool! But screw that I want lights in my vanity mirrors. This is my first ford that hasn't had them since 79 Capri RS turbo almost 30 years ago. Wasn't even an option

I will one day make my way to the wreckers and take some from a Lincoln and put them in. I wonder if it has been done yet?

Cheers

As long as the Mustang one is available with blue lighting, I'm in for a set!

Here they are on the Ford Racing site. Just scroll down a bit.

http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...3&catdesc=Trim

They only come in black, so I am thinking that we would need to keep the old sill and use the old base and modify to retain the interior colour.

Cheers

I like those, very slick. My stock sills are a little scratched anyway so that would be a nice upgrade. I want to see what color the "Mustang" lettered ones light up.

The dealers I contacted up here don't have a part number for the sill that says Mustang ... anyone help with this?

Cheers
