I have a question for everyone who already has this cover. I've read that it's supposed to allow moisture out, right? But is it supposed to allow water in? I took the cover off this morning and my car was wet like the cover wasn't even on it, just a little confused as I thought this cover was supposed to prevent that.

How long was your cover "wet" for? The instructions state that you should not leave the cover on for more than 24 hours if it is wet.

If you hold the cover up to a light you can see some light through it. Maybe it is just me but I don't think this cover is to prevent water from going through it.

Maybe Kevin can answer that question. However, the instructions on the first page of this topic do say
"This cover is made of 100% polyester fibers with a special water-resistant coating. If moisture appears under the cover the unique breathability of the cover allows the moisture to evaporate through the cover."
However, the instructions that came with my cover are a bit different that the ones on the first page and do not have the information mentioned above on them I am so confused

Here is the answer I recieved from my Contact at the Car Cover Factory.
In answer to your Forum members questions /concerns, The silver car covers are water resistant, not waterproof. In extremely damp conditions water may condense on the underside of the cover. In a hard rain moisture may pass through the cover. However since the cover is breathable the moisture will evaporate back through the cover once the surface dries.
Any Cover that is completely waterproof will not be breathable and will lead to paint damage. Moisture condensation will happen with any car cover material and if the moisture can not evaporate through the cover then it will bake into the paint and cause clouding.
Our Silver material is excellent in protecting against enviromental contaminants that will damage paint {dust , dirt , tree sap , salt air etc.}.
It is ok to use a cover when it is wet. We just recommend against rolling up and storing them for more than 24 hours when they are wet to avoid the possibility of mildew forming on the cover.
Please let me know if I can answer anymore questions
Best Regards,
GM
