Kevin,
I too was wondering what the details on these are. I have a Shaker1000 and would like to know if the new HD head unit works with my setup? Also, is the iPod interface on the back of the unit so it works with the TripTunes interfaces only or is there an aux or USB port on the front of the unit for those of us who have an '06 or earlier model without the TripTunes iPod jack in the armrest or glove box?

This is the Link to Install Instructions Etc. This is a Ford Licensed Accessory. I have My Concerns that it will work on ALL the Older Models. I know it states it Will but I Have my Concerns after all Sirius, Brandmotion Ipod Adapter, Trip Tunes And Nav Units are not Compatible with All 05-08 Stangs. It's Why I had Not Posted on this yet. I would Tread Lightly on this one.

Thanks for the update.

This looks promising and I will need to do some research. Looks like I have a winter project now

George I'm fairly positive my 07 has the HD radio std or as part of the Shaker 500 package I have. It provides an abundance of info which is nice and similar to sat radio. Having an input for iPod or other device is nice also.

Looked at this the other morning at my local Ford Store. It will work ONLY with a SATELLITE READY radio. You do not have to have satellite hooked up, but you do need the connection. Inspite of what the Ford Site says...it will not work on the 05's and early 06's. (Not Satellite ready)

Also found out that you cannot "upgrade radio" under warranty. It seems Ford has adopted the Imports idea of replacing parts according to to your VIN info. In other words...if your car has radio A, you can only replace it with same under the warranty, per your VIN info.

You can see this info yourself by having your local Ford Store download the Application and Installation sheets from the Ford Accessories page.

Just wondering, but can I hook up an HD Radio tuner and a Sirius tuner at the same time?
