Another site someone listed the part number as W710464-S437. It doesn't seem like a Ford part number though. Maybe it is another supplier's part number.

My dealer told me that my plenum cover order finally went through on June 22. It immediately went on backorder. He told me today that nationwide there were only 99 on backorder, which I didn't think was all that bad. I was trying to go my own route since it looked like Kevin was going to order the first half million covers made, even though my dealer is charging me $85 altogether for mine. Whether this will get me the part sooner or not is yet to be seen. I am hoping to find some paint for my valve covers to match the plenum cover. Think that'll look good with sonic blue?

Ordered mine today(backorder) got my buddy that works at the dealers price of $115 Canadian.

Off topic gas prices just jumped up .10 cents per litre to $1.07 per litre(over $4.00 per gallon) It's gonna cost me over $50 bucks to fill up.Yuck!!!!

Comparing the Midwest cover to the Ford cover, it appears that the Midwest cover is shorter and does not wrap it self around the throttle body. This makes it easier to use with a throttle body spacer. Also, the Ford cover appears to be lower profile. This may make it more compatible with strut tower braces.

Overall, I like the Ford cover better and for the price, you can't beat it. There are a lot of customized midwest covers out there and they all look great but the one from Ford looks more like a factory part (because it is).

Personally, I don't know if I'm going to scrap the throttle body spacer or cut the lip of the plenum cover so I can use it with the spacer. If I do keep the throttle body spacer, I am going to remove it and paint it silver so that it matches the throttle body.

I'm also thinking of powdercoating the cam covers. I was going to go with the chrome powdercoating, but I may just have them painted the same color as the plenum cover.

UPDATE!

I have Found the Correct Stud and Nut to Properly Attach the Cover 0n the 05/06 Engines. Ford Had Just enough to Take Care of My 50+ Covers I will be Selling to date. I have a few Covers in Stock which should Start Shipping Monday when The Hardware Arrives. The Balance of my Orders Should be on the TOP of the Backorder Release as I ordered my Covers only Hours after Ford Released them. I will do my best to Ship them as close as possible to the order in which they were requested. It is unfortunate the original post on these was lost during the board change which would have made that task easier. Ford is now aware of the popularity of this piece and is doing there best to supply them as quickly as possible. Please also be Aware I am answering emails as quickly as I can and I will again be playing catch up this weekend to Meet my TMS Friends/Customers Needs!

kc,
That's awesome. So to clearify - the cover will indeed fit the 05-06 with proper "nut and stud"? Could you tell us the part # for these? I understand it wil be on back order for awhile.

COVER WITH 2007 SHELBY STRUT BAR IN PLACE. It Clears the Cover but I am Concerened about the Bar itself clearing as I have not seen a Shelby Hood in The Flesh. The Bars are VERY Inexpensive BTW!

Well when you get a chance tomorrow that would be great. I appreciate your hard work. It showed in purchases I've made from you in the past.
