$799 is a bit high. CDC has one for $599. Something around that and I'd consider.

I was wrong about the CDC one. It's $550. I've pretty much committed to that one, as I won't find any other plug and play solutions for less with the same or better quality.

I voted no. I'm getting ready to assemble my own 300 watt RMS sub setup for about 200 bucks: JL Audio W3 12", Infinity 311A amp, and a scosche enclosure - everything from ebay. I could have assembled a 600 watt RMS system for even less than that, believe it or not. $800 bucks (does not include labor?) is a lot of coin.

what is the wattage rating on the cdc one? I've seen that, but it is very unclear on the specs of the sub.

Right now I have a scosche subwoofer box, and have yet to buy a sub or an amp.
