Hey folks---don't forget about this car cover. I've had mine for almost 3 months now, and it is great. No scratches on the car, and it keeps is as clean as though she was parked in the garage instead of outside in the driveway.

Thanks again, Kevin !! Much obliged. Mike

OK folks here are a couple of pics of the car cover I got from Kevin. Note the 1 inch elastic hem around the entire car---most only have that on the front and rear ends. Also note the plastic / vinyl covered cable with padlock (hard to see as it runs under the car and through the grommet under either side door); shiny reflective silver "breathable" material to reflect the sun and heat away and allow moisture to pass through (that is a good thing in a car cover); and the pony logo with MUSTANG in black block letters (looks nice).

maucoin65,

Your photos of the Mustang with the cover on really shows this is not just a car it is ART, the cover takes away so many visual elements revealing just the form, wow this car is beautiful!

OK, MustangDan, I can't tell if you are being serious or sarcastic. It does look rather bland with the cover on. But the point of the pics was to show the cover, not the car.

Here's the car....

maucoin65,

I was very serious; you live with the cover as a tool that makes it harder to see it the way I do. Obviously you know what beauty is, look at your drive way!

For me the Mustang looks great on many visual levels and I was surprised that the cover couldn't hide that. Think of things in nature a great landscape will still look great snow covered, think of women, some look great in anything.

The cover takes away color, and texture leaving the only the beautiful 3-D shape. Another example of taking away to show a part of beauty look at the MustangSource logo it takes away everything but the 2-D line.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder for me the classic 65-68 Mustang and the 05 Mustang are some of most beautiful objects made my man. IMHO

Thanks for your photos!

Kevin is by far the best "part's specialist" I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with period. Most other dealerships and part's stores employ "part's monkey's" who are useless unless you have the exact part number for the exact part you need. It is so refreashing to work with a true professional who takes pride in their work. :usa: Thank you Kevin... I will order any factory Ford part through him even down to the simplest thing such as oil filters. When my local Ford dealership want's to start hiring professionals mabey will talk, but I would still use Kevin.

MustangDan: I meant no offense and am very glad you took none. You are a sensitive, artistic gentleman who is a credit to TMS and the Mustang enthusiast hobby.

I hope you get your 2005 GT very soon, early if not on schedule. I know you've been waiting a long time.

That is a great cover but I haven't seen anything about the Price?

On a side note, that is the biggest satellite dish I have ever seen except for SETI. j/k

The satellite dish isn't mine, it is my neighbors' but as you can see from the size and location of it, my roof will have a problem if we get a hurricane or other big storm blowing through here.

Craig: I like your Ford cover with the cutout for the license plate in the back, although that is one more place for water to get in / under the cover (this car "hides" water everywhere when you wash it, more than any other I've ever owned it seems).

With my cover, the only entry point is the cut out hole for the antenna. Even that doesn't allow much if any water through--rarely, in fact.

On that note (i.e. water under the cover)---I discoverd another GREAT feature of this car cover. besides the terrific price of $155 from Kevin Casey at Clevenger Ford in Pottersville, CA. kcstang05 on TMS. Clevparts@aol.com---1-800-570-5554, ask for Kevin....anyway...

Last evening I failed to tuck the cover well under the front bumper---my bad, not the cover. We had a blustery thunderstorm blow through, and the wind blew the cover off the front of the car, peeling the cover back over the windshield. So, the underside of the cover got all wet. I wiped down both the car and the underside (i.e. the car side) of the cover as best as I could, re-covered the car and went to bed, figuring I would dry the rest off in the morning after the sun dried the outside of the car cover.

Much to my delight, I learned how well this cover "breathes"---that is, like our skin this cover lets moisture out while not letting moisture in, which is a MUST feature in a car cover used out doors.

The underside (car side) of the cover was completely dry, with only a very few water spots on the hood and windshield which I easily wiped away.

This is a great cover. Lightweight, very functional, especially if you tuck it under the front and rear bumpers real good (which I didn't do last night---again, my bad). Again, no scratches on the car's finish. And it breathes very well. I highly recommend it.

Now, call or email Kevin...you won't be disappointed with either him or the car cover (or whatever parts you order from him) He was even very willing to help me locate vintage parts to make my 1965 fastback more Concours for the next MCA show. He's simply the best.

Mike the ford cover has a soft plastic insert stitched into it and has a special plastic grommet for the antena ,there are 2 types offered by Ford both more expencive than the one you have .The one you see is more for indoors than outdoors and is 3 ply thick the other is more expencive yet and is more for outdoors and is one ply but how thick it is I do not know .
I'm sure kevin can give prices to anyone in the U.S. In regards to what they want (ford or other) but for bang for the buck yours is the best

And yes the car is full of water traps ,I find its best to drive it for a few blocks after washing and drying it just to help get the water out and re-dry again.

Kevin Casey (05StangKC), Parts Manager at Clevenger Ford in California and the Official OEM Parts supplier of TMS, has done it again and come through for his TMS customers.

Kevin did some research and located the 2005 Mustang form fitted car cover, very similar to the one in the Accessories brochure, only with better features and for a lot less $$$ than my local dealer quoted me.

The cover comes complete with the coated cable and padlock; one inch elastic band entirely around the form fitted bottom (not just in the front and rear hems), and pockets for the (elephant ear) side mirrors. Also has the pony logo and "MUSTANG" in big black block letters on the front end, which looks really good against the silver material of the cover.

Kevin did all the research for me to locate this cover, secured the price, and shipped it to me in Louisiana well within the anticipated time frame.

Kevin quoted me a price before he firmed up the price from his source, but he honored the price he quoted me. He is an honorable business man, whose word is as good as any written contract. He can be trusted to do the right thing.

Kevin continues to amaze and impress me, with his professionalism, his dedication to customer service and satisfaction, and the best prices I can find anywhere. And, he's a really nice guy, and it's fun to talk Stangs with him.

He is simply the best, so much better than my local Ford dealers' parts departments. You have to give him a try. No I am not related to him, I am simply a VERY satisfied customer and I believe in loyalty and giving credit where due.

Kevin has earned my loyalty and recommendation. Try him; you won't be disappointed.
I feel exactly as this guy does, great job Kevin !!!

Craig: NOw that's a great idea---drive around the neighborhood then return home to finish drying the car. Will keep that in mind....

My cover is fantastic! I didn't bother cutting a hole in it for the antenna. I just unscrew it and place it in the trunk. KC is always a pleasure to deal with! What everyone said before me, 100% right on!
