Um not to disrespect mr Kiley....ok, nevermind, I do want to disrespect him alittle. His article is about 6 months late if he's "The Guy" who brilliantly saw this notion first. And it's about 3 years too early if he's lamenting Mark Field's lack of success.

They're already doing this, thats why they friggin put Mark Fields in the big chair. But It's only been a few months since he took the helm; change takes time, especially amidst the kind of turmoil Ford's dealing with. They're trying to sperate the styling a bit more, trying to add more flexibility and fun. I'd say all the "fun to drive" comments about the Fusion show they're serious about it too. But with restructing et all, it will take a couple YEARS for this to really bear out. In the meantime, they're already on the road.
